Flooding Anyone?
« on: November 07, 2009, 01:09:14 pm »
Vallie and I just went out shopping and there are a couple places in Beaverton where the water is getting dangerously high! 4 of them in the Fred Meyer parking lot.

Anyone else have trouble in the downpour?

A lot of people are buying flood insurance this year, because they expect the Auburn Valley to flood ..... which is the same name as my town, of course. >.>;

Whenever the heavy rain hits here, the Ray's parking lot in Redmond gets completely flooded & there is no proper drainage there lol.

it flooded the last 2 years up in Lewis County (the one 2 years ago was insane) But I live in Longview now, and as it seems, it hasn't flooded here yet.

ya, I-5 was closed in that area for about 4 1/2 days because after the water was pumped out, they needed to re arrange the barriers.

lord karl and I were at safeway, and when we left karls and people were carazey, I tried backing out but both of the lanes had a car, so i had to pull  half way back into the parking spot at whick point a lady was infrom of me runnin to her car, I stopped and let her pass and the car behind me starts honkin at me repeadedly, never mind there is a down pour of rain and I can't see well and an more making sure i dont hit a person, never mind they were the ones on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD

Gee, and here I was mowing my lawn earlier today. Sunny, but blustery, good day to fly a kite down here.

Pity the people living along Johnson Creek. Maybe Fanno creek too, this time.
Have Fun

At the SAFEWAY where I work over here in Southeast Portland my feet and hands got soaked but it wasn't anything my home and its nice cozy pellet stove couldn't fix. No dangerous amount of flooding.
