Christmas Party Ideas
« on: November 09, 2009, 04:20:25 pm »
What are some ideas for a x-mas party? I have had a few x-mas parties before and they have been fun. Anyone else plan some good ones or been to good ones?

I like the caroling idea ^_^
I'm not sure what we'd do if people didn't know the songs though... I have a bunch of old caroling books with religious songs in them but I'm not sure if those are the kind of songs we'd be singing. Maybe just type up and print out copies?
The christmas episodes of anime would be fun, and I could probably get some on a zip drive to bring if you needed it.

If you need help decorating, I'm there. Since it's a 3 hour drive for my friends and I we will either be there early or late, so if we're there early, I would love to help you set up, if that's alright with you of course!

On a different note, if you do do another gift exchange, please let me be a part, just have a back up for me just in case the pass snows over again.

So far your party sounds pretty awesome! I love the idea of a white elephant gift exchange, those are always awesome (that's how my family got our replica of the 'leg lamp' from A Christmas Story...lol.)

Here's some anime eps that came up when I searched for X-Mas stuff...

Azumanga Daioh ep.17
Rental Magica ep.12
Tokyo Godfathers is set during Christmas
Cardcaptor Sakura ep.35
Chrono Crusade ep.12
Lucky Star ep.11
Ranma 1/2 "A Christmas Without Ranma." Also the OAV episode "Tendo Family Christmas Scramble".
Love Hina Christmas special (don't know what ep.)
Itsudatte! My Santa
Big O ep.11
Magikano ep.11
Prince of Tennis ep.165
Pokemon Christmas Vaction
Sailormoon Movie S

That's all I could find.... I was to lazy to look up more XD

Hey, I've got an idea.
Maybe you shouldn't ask a bunch of people who aren't invited what to do at you're party?

It really sucks to get people excited about something like that. :(

You know I really did think about it, but its not like someone couldn't plan the same thing.

Well I was going to be helping plan one party with another group of friends but for a few minutes there I really got my hopes up for partying with you guys. That's all. I didn't think it was on purpose but I don't want anyone to go through the same thing I did.

Eh, I guess I just assumed it wouldn't make sense for someone to have a party at their house and invite everyone from the forums. Besides Nikki is right, other people can host their own parties, so posting ideas of what people are planning can help people have a successful celebration of their own. =]
