I just got done paper mache-ing the Earl mask; now I have to let it dry and hope I have enough Creative Paperclay to cover it tomorrow, since it's kind of expensive stuff.

i dont know. all the eyepatches at party stores have stupid pirate things on them. XD
my mom said she was going to make my eye patch but since we're so focused on Raz, the eyepatch has completely slipped our minds.

Oh man, I know what you mean. It's pretty bad for me, since I go home on Friday and I have to have everything pretty much done by then, since there is crap for cosplay supplies in the Gorge. And it burns through my gas money so fast waiting for crap.

Hey, it isn't procrastination until the night before con. Last year I didn't even start my costume until the day before Day 0. The year before that I built two costumes in three days.

It's actually kinda weird for me to have a costume as done as mine is right now. I'm kinda freaked out by it.

I inherited the amazing ability to pull decent costumes out of my ass at the last second from my mother. I have a long way to go before I rival her skill, but I'm learning.

You might try the year-round Halloween store up in Beaverton for the eyepatch. http://www.halloweenwarehouseor.com/Location.html

They have a lot of stuff and they've saved my butt in the past.

Also, I liked it with paper mache better. I hope I don't regret doing this to my mask. I've already lost some of the nose shape I was so proud of, but it's too late now.

i don't think i'd be able to get a ride to beaverton. but my friend Kilee said she'd try to get and/or make me an eyepatch so thats good.

D'Awww, thank you! It seems like it's doing pretty good over here. We're focusing on getting the 14th's coat done right now, and it really looks good. I mean, really, REALLY good.

The only issues with the mask right now are the ears are funky, but I'll live with it. Also, it's HOT under the mask, even without the felt lining. I'm lucky there aren't any masks allowed to be worn in the lobby, otherwise I'd likely die wandering around with it on.

Hair dye is fun!

I think the 58 would drop you off right by the place, and it's not too far from the Beaverton Transit Center, if you were willing or needed to bus it. Homemade patches are better anyway.

I was thinking once we meet up, we could hit the Pioneer Place food court. They've got a lot of different restaurants and some really good food for low prices.

ALSO: Yay! I'm going to be hunted in the Scavenger Hunt on Sunday!

Also, Lero's face is done. I'm waiting for the clay to dry so I can paint him.

I am bright purple from where I'm dying the lining of my coat. I feel ridiculous.

Also, the dye job on the parasol fabric turned out super uneven and spotty. I'm really dissapointed, but can't afford to get more. I guess I just won't be opening the umbrella up.

So, it sounds like Pioneer Square is going to be having the big Lego event the same weekend as Kumoricon. We might want to choose a different place to meet up. That, or we specify a specific part of Pioneer Square to meet at. It was suggested that we all meet by the Starbucks.

If that sounds good, or if we want to meet somewhere else, I'll alter our plan in the big Photoshoot thread. We also want to decide on what time we stop waiting in Pioneer Square for people and start heading to the church for pictures.

There is a statue right by the entrance to the hotel restaurant that might make a good meeting place. Or right outside the front doors, and we can just have a sign that we hold up until we are ready to leave...

We want to wait until 12:15 to leave for lunch, too?
