we got one of those calanders where you open the little day and get a candy

they sell them in the holiday section of stores,
with 24 count down till chrismas and a cocolate behind the tab,



thing is the ones at the stores tend to be really low grade chocolate, really waxey, so this year we went to world cost plus and got an imported =better chocolate

I know what you mean.... Whenever I end up with one from the store the chocolate ends up tasting like cardboard. So instead I'll just try to have a piece of candy every day and mark the days down in my head XD

I'd love if someone would contextualize to me what it means to them to count down the days to Xmas. Is there like a special saint, or a special mitzvah, for each day, or something? Is there more of a numerological or interior aspect to it like our counting of the Omer?

is really about expectation, at church we just light candles, think the idea is to mark the time until christmas's coming but yeah the wiki is way better than what I could write.
