Am I funny? And if I'm a positive amount of funny, how much funny am I?

So yeah, in a disagreement with someone where they said that I never said anything funny in my life, and I was just wondering if I could get a bit of feedback on how much funny I am.

I mean, I don't exactly play at Harvey's every weekend, but I know I'm no Senator Lieberman.

Well, I judge a person's funny level by both how often they try and be funny and how funny they are at those times. You don't seem to be trying to be funny most of the time so that dials your rating down a bit. You're funny enough when you try, though.

I'd say you were an even 4, maybe a 5.

I like to think of myself as an 8. But that really depends on the situation and how well I know my audience.

Oh, and this is out of 10, with any positive number being funny and -1 through -10 being the degrees of Not Funny. -1 or -2 might say something funny by accident now and then but fail when they try telling jokes. The mid negatives would be people who may be funny but react to laughter with anger, people laugh AT them not WITH them. -10 would be a horribly serious person that doesn't even do things that are accidentally funny, usually because they are sad.

Although I think some of it should be in better tastes, I still give you around a 4 or 5 out of 10.

Also, a 5 is all you need to play Harvey's. I have a low opinion of that place. The best comics I've seen in town play the concert venues or bars.

Well, everyone's opinion of "funny" is different, so it's hard be judged, let alone rate yourself. You could think that you're a riot and no one would think that you're that funny (and vice versa). I do agree with this though V

In this case, I'd say that you're trying too hard, because being funny means never having to ask.
