A waste of a perfectly good Portland street.

Lol that's true. Then the ice is far more better than sparkly vampires. Gotta love it while it's there.

Ice on the ground? big deal, I have ice in my freakin bathroom!!!
I noticed yesterday when it was really windy that there is a draft in the bathroom, and today my husband came out of the bathroom to tell me there was an icicle in the bathroom, I took a pic and will post later

That is super crazy.

I think I'm going to have to put a cup of water outside to see how thick the ice freezes over night. When I was a kid I could always check my dog's outside water dish in the winter. Ice and snow still delights me even though I'm not a kid who can benefit from "snow days" off from school. Unlike my wife, who grew up in Michigan and had to deal with REAL winters, I still feel excitement instead of dread in this weather.

Never eat food before going out into cold weather, you'll freeze your butt off.

When you've just eaten your blood rushes to your tummy as part of the digestive process.  This leaves the body alot more vulnerable to cold.

... I hope it snows this year <3

I hope it snows enough for them to close your school completely. Out in Forest Grove the kids up in the hills got three times as many snow days because their bus routes would shut down. I would have gladly drank well water growing up for that perk.

down in town sometimes it just rained because the snow level was just a hundred feet away. :'(

That only happened once in my district. We got an alottment of 3 or 4 snow days each year, more than that and we'd get extra days at the end.

Unless you go to reynolds district, they would save money by not tacking any snow days at the end
