I know where Meriwether is, and I have things set for Sand Lake since I know that place like the back of my hand and a Site in mind already, I know the camp hosts so getting a discount isn't a problem.
In addition to Meriwether, we would have to:
1. Rent the entire camp grounds
2. Shell out god knows how much money
3. It's a boy scout camp
Sand lake is by far cheaper to camp at. Plus, I don't think Boy/Girl scout camp is classified as camping. It's a place to stick kids in so Parents don't have to worry about them. And Archery/rifles/rock walls are not in my dictionary of camping. I'm too much of a 'country girl' to call that camping.
OHMYCRACKEDCOOKIESINMYPOCKET!!!!
That would be epic up the pipe and out the bathtub drain! *Mario funny* (\^O^/)
If we had a massive army of cosplayers coming along, yeah we would have to rent the whole thing. But oh if we could get the money to rent just one of the tent sections...I'd practically be commin' home to one of the first summer camps I ever went to. Hoofing the trails to the beach and back, down the beach and back, crossing the massive field, eating at the dining hall if they let us. I just hope for your guys' sake they wouldn't put us at the top of Cardiac Hill. That thing's a beast to walk down to breakfast/lunch/dinner and back up to camp, back when it was dirt and mud, and even now on the paved road they replaced that with.
FYI You're looking at an Eagle Scout born 4 years ago. Maybe someday I'll summon the extra time to be an Assistant Scoutmaster just to get to go back to Summer Camp, hoping this one again.
But if shooting for a pro campsite seems out of reach, then I'll settle for any old speck of sandy land to tent-up at. I'm going to look up the price for Meriwether .
