In Corvallis it is supposed to get in the single digits over night. SINGLE! LIKE 9 FREAKING DEGREES FARENHIGHT! WHAT THE F?! Stupid freaking weather. Want to know what makes it worse? There are rumors going around that they will be turning our heat off in an hour to fix it and they don't know how long it will be off. I am already sitting here with a jacket and a sweatshirt on, and my heat full blast and they want to turn it OFF?! I am not happy right now

If you wash your hair and spend enough time outside the water will freeze and your hair will look like it is has lots of product in it

Actually happened to Vallie when she was in middle school. Her permed hair froze in its curls.

So last night I put out a bake pan of ice to see how solid it would freeze. turns out it isn't actually frozen solid. there's a liquid core in the middle that bubbles can still move through. So about 40% of it is still water. I took it out of the pan to see if it was just on the bottom but it really is in the center, the ice block didn't dribble at all.

I took some pictures but none of them really show the liquid center that well.

It's been consistently between 20 and 27 degrees in Hillsboro.The power went out this morning from about 4:30-9:30 this morning and it was fricking freezing! The heaters are on full blast now and I'm thankful for my big fluffy coat and laptop that tends to overheat. ='D Our high for tomorrow is supposed to be 32. But 9? Are you kidding me, Corvallis? That's just not okay. D:<

That is so cool. I remember we used to have a pond. It froze and then snow fell all over it. I thought it was safe for walking on it. I walked on it. Then here is the stupid thing. I decided to jump on it.
(I WAS LIKE SIX!) I jumped and BOOM. I became very wet and...Farely didn't care either and just continued to play.

That reminds me of the photo of the SNES frozen in a block of ice that was in many issues of Nintendo Power. Can't find online. >.< (And yes, the photo was faked with a plastic bag or something, they explained when so many people asked how they did it.)

Do you have any idea how cold it is outside? I live way farther from the school than you do, it takes me about 20 minutes to walk back. By the time I get home, my fingers are so numb that I can barely turn my key. I still don't get why I'm in the walking zone.

So if you're trying to encourage someone to walk, I AM NOT THE RIGHT PERSON TO MESS WITH.

That's just because of your steep hill. And when I walked to your place the other few days it only took....about maybe 10-15 minutes.... 0_0

My apartment has no rooms, it's a studio, but I don't mind sine half of it's mine.. But when my half is cold, it's warm on the other half, and vice versa, cause I know if i crank the heater on in my room, I'd never wake up to drag myself out of bed..

I don't go out without my armor. My winter coat, fleece cap, giant scarf. I haven't needed my boots yet because it's been dry. I just wish I had a way to keep my legs warmer, my slacks and jeans won't cut it and I don't have any sort of ankle length skirt I can take off and put away when I get to the office. In the 30 or 40 seconds that I have a glove off to unlock my door the fingers get REALLY cold though.

As for the cold... I am not looking forward to the possible snow and ice storm that's supposed to come in.
I have plans tomorrow, that would make cousin VERY upset, if we couldn't go through with, thanks to the weather. =P

I'm actually glad it waited until the weekend. It means that my Vallie doesn't have to drive into work during a storm. I'm considering the weird things I can secure out on my porch for possible cool frozen rain photo ops!
