« on: December 17, 2009, 01:08:53 am »
I couldn't find a thread here in the K-con forums about it, so forgive me if this has already been posted somewhere.

Starring a NEW main character, Renya, the adventure of “Code Geass” unfolds once more. A new manga script writer, Goro Taniguchi, makes his debut with the newest “Code Geass” project serializing in the monthly magazine, Shonen Ace. A manga series with Taniguchi, the director of the anime, writing the script, and Tomomasa Takuma doing the artwork. “I show much gratitude to both the head editor of Shonen Ace and the manga artist, Mr. Tomomasa Takuma. I’d like to take on this project as a challenge, being an inexperienced manga script writer,” says Goro Taniguchi.

The long-planned project finally comes to materialize. “The new project, ‘Renya of the Dark,’ will be an episode within the ‘Code Geass History.’ There will be stories from two different eras in the same world. The anime featured the ‘Lelouch of the Rebellion’ chapter, and we see this as the ‘Renya of the Dark’ chapter.” This “Code Geass” will be expressed through manga. How will it differ from the anime? “For instance, you can express emotions on a panel by panel basis in manga, and you can also express a fighting scene with intensity via a two-page spread. I wish to release a ‘Code Geass’ that is unique to manga with Mr. Takuma’s amazing skills in drawing sharp lines and expressive glances.”

The stage is the Edo Era. Renya and his friend meets C.C. and face fate head-on. “We will write the epic of Renya with the two main themes that are present in ‘Code Geass’: ‘What does it mean for man to live?’ and ‘What exactly makes me who I am?’” The next movement of “Code Geass” has finally begun to move. “We still have many other chapters of the ‘Code Geass History’ that are in the works, so stay tuned for future announcements!”

OUR PERSPECTIVE (By the buyers, the writers, and the readers)

Considering the finale of “R2″, I’m very interested to see where this will go. The anime sold quite well with female fans at the core. It was quite impressive with so much unexpected development that kept the audience excited. I think the story will also be interesting if that can be reimplemented in the manga. I hope that it will lead to the manga eventually being animated.

A new series of “Code Geass” begins its serialization in the manga. We currently know of three things: C.C. will make her appearance, it will be based around a new protagonist, and that the original manga work will be led by the director of the anime, Goro Taniguchi. He restored a classical story that closely resembled “Macbeth” with his quick compositions and performance, so I am certain that yet another thrilling and grand epic will be created. I can’t not be excited.

If this code geass season 3 is only a manga, I will seriously lose some interest.

We all came to love this series because of the Anime. The anime had a great story and characters. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up still and plenty of other paths and oppening for new things.

I wanna see Kallen and Geno together.... They should.

R2 ended with things back to normal, but the peace cant last forever.

XD I don't like to read bleh!
but :) My loyalty is to GEASS! So I'll check it out naturally.
:o I will just really miss Lelouch, and the reason I liked Code Geass a bit more then any other Anime, it was not only modern, it was flat out futuristic, and that is really awesome!
But this one is in the past, which turns me off a bit, because I hate things based in the edo period or the middle ages. Its all the same crap, so if this is in that time period, I can only hope it keeps my interest.
