Google around to see if there are any hobby blacksmiths, cutlers, or farriers in your area.
They may have real coal nuggets to give away if you need a gag.

I have a little coal-fired melting furnace which I use for metal casting, and I have some coal and even a little coke* on hand.
PM me or e-mail me if you want to pick some up any evening before Christmas Eve. (I am about 23 mi from the center of Portland.)

* not the soda drink and not the 'controlled substance' - coke is made from coal because it burns hotter, just like making charcoal from wood.

Once I get back to school my friend said he is going to give me a Santa hat! Hurray! That will go with all my cosplays!

Dollar Tree has plenty of santa hats, but one for free is even cheaper.

Though I only bought one for two reasons:
1. It works well when I pull together my red ninja santa (which-I-never-used-at-the-mall! *stomps feet in anger at self*)

2. More importantly, it covered my ears halfway and I couldn't find a beanie for $1.

I got an early present on my doorstep in the form of a Bakugan starter set. The game, now that I've played it, isn't too bad. Like other games it eats a hole in your pocket a mile wide when you try to buy more, but it works as a small hobby, along with the others I have. _______(@) *rawr*

I gave her a papercraft set of Germany and Italy superglued to cardboard.

Let's see, so far I've gotten a pair of chopsticks, a Hamtaro CD (from Goodwill~ : D), and the promise of munny to buy fabric with. As a gift to the whole family, my sister bought party crate Apples to Apples. All in all, not bad! X3

So far I've gotten a gift card to regal cinema's plus some snacks, an entire bento lunch box set, those cute food shaped erasers(TONS OF THEM), and Owl City CD, A -shivers- Miley Cyrus Scarf, A box of rainbow monkey bandaids, and a Zak Monday Doll.

It's a good turnabout so far. I'll be going to my mom's for an x-mas party tonight and more gifts will be there.

For today, I got the following:
- Prime/Original!Spock figurine(Now I just need the other nine figurines)
- The other 'Star Trek' things I said I got yesterday(T-shirt and 20Questions)
- 'Neo Geo Battle Coliseum' for the PS2(I looooove it~)
- Some PS2 game that I don't care for(So it's going back~)
- The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod 1 & 2(Now I need threeeeeee)
- A maroon sweater with sparkly stripes on it(It's comfy~ =w=)
- A black blanket with music related stuff on it(It's waaaaaarm~)
- An I.O.U. for a pair of roller blades(I can't waaaaaait! >3)
- An I.O.U. for $40(which will pay for my admission to K-con)

Now I just have to wait until tomorrow for the rest of my gifts! =O
