I'm still slightly tempted to do a Trish, and I could most likely convince people in to being the other characters.
My friend is getting the green and red contacts for a diff. cosplay, but I bet I could convince her in to being Lady as well ^_^

I have a friend who does a Dante, and her twin brother used to do a Vergil, and I'll try to get him to bring it back, but as he is now known as "The Kumoricon Jack Sparrow" and doesn't want to go back to being "Tommy" again he probably wont do it.

Tommy's sister won't be going to cons anymore. At least, that's what he's told me. From what I gathered, I think he's bringing Vergil to this KumoriCon- not too sure, though.
We were supposed to do a DMC group, but since his sister isn't cosplaying OR going to cons anymore, it's not going to happen.
He might be bringing his little brother to some KumoriCon(he said he probably wouldn't cosplay Dante at this one), though.

You are right about the BOMB.... I just like Nero. He looks cooler. >.< I CANT PLAY DMC4 because o0f WIN 7. I NEED TO GET BACK ON MY XP. But...Now I have DMC3... Karma is telling me to play it.

I think Sparda would need to be commished... by someone with sewing skills that leave my own crying for help in the darkness of night O_O

I could speak with Irene about it, I mean she is making a wedding dress free hand for some extra cash.
She might be able to, then again, she may be kinda "GRRR" because of the whole... situation (?) still, but maybe she'd be glad to do it!

She sort of did it herself, and I just kept reminding her how awesome Kcon was at '08, and how they'd fix it, yadda yadda yadda.
Finally, she decided that she'd go to cons every other year on even years.
Lies, I think next year she wont be able to resist con season xD

Also, if the wig I'm washing right now turns out alright, I might be Nero. I'm also 5'3. So, uh. I'm going to be a baaaby Nero. I haven't let my height disable me from cosplaying my favorite character(s) so far, and I don't intend to let it interfere anytime soon, so. 

I totally imagine most DMC cosplayers to be, like, 6'0, though...

I (sadly XD) decided that I love my white wig/other cosplay too much, so, I probably won't mutilate it for Nero... XD But, randomcosplayisrandom I've decided to cosplay Kyrie, so. I WILL HAVE A DEVIL MAY CRY COSPLAY THIS YEAR, EVEN IF IT KILLS ME...

Iiii was playing with the idea of a possible Devil May Cry meet-up/photoshoot in my head (I would buy everyone pizza, I swear XD), but, there are... probably not going to be enough people this year? :/ I guess, if people wanted, we could just make it a general thing for DMC fans/people who want to cosplay DMC in the future? If anyone's interested in free pizza, that is... LOL XD

Yes it would be sweet for random, or maybe just self promoted, inspiration to hit me.  And It would come out awesome because I'm a perfectionist.  We will see, though the epic lazyness doesn't fall far from the portrayed character..

@camname21: Iffff I may inquire... how far on the costume were/are you, if you've started it yet?

I had  just about all the material and i cut out the pieces for my vest.  I was just going to modify a black tight sport shirt with a stiff collar and add on huge sleeve cuffs at the elbow.  I modded a pair of pants to use as a stencil to cut out using the same fabric as the vest.  I don't think I drew it down or cut that out yet, but I might have ripped the pants already so it was ready to go.  I have not messed with an overcoat yet but I have one waiting to tinker with.  Got the right boots already, but still need a belt and vest strips + buckles.  

As you can probably tell I was going to sew it all from basically scratch.  I wasn't even going to mess with making props or a wig until the base costume was down.  Honestly maybe 5-10% is actually completed.  I was going good untill con hit last year and I just put the whole thing on hold.  I need some practice with non lightweight fabric before I keep going because it was really pissing me off when I attempted to sew the vest.  Oh ya it's mostly wool because that is the closest looking material to the character.  Not all that stupid leather in the later games, not a fan of leather...  >.<


Would be nice to know someone close I could hang with and go over all the old and new sewing stuff I need to know.

Yeah, when/if I ever do one of the Dante/Vergil/Nero coats, I'd personally just use pleather, since I'm a vegan. xD Or, do you mean you don't like the look of leather, or the feel/working with it, et cetera?

I would have loved to help you get on your way to continued Dante-dom! :VVVVV But sadly, the only kind of sewing I am good at is being a human sewing machine. So, if you don't happen to have a sewing machine, I'd love to help with that part, if needed. XDD THEN AGAIN you probably live in southern or eastern Oregon, for all I know. XD

What kind of material were/are the pants' fabric that you're using for the vest, if you know/remember the actual kind of fabric? Or, was the wool part in relation to that? I've never actually worked with wool, I don't think... D:

What kind of "sewing stuff" were you interested in going over? Or do you just mean "sewing stuff" for your particular costume?

I just don't like the look of leather usually.  I don't like the look of the games where they are wearing leather much, and the cowboy crap.  Are you kidding me?  I have not looked or see much of the charecters past the first game, but what I saw I did not like, material wize.. 

I have a sewing machine, 2 in fact.  One is a few years old and is pretty good I think, the other is vary old but I think it still works.  I've only done light weight fabric before and using wool just got me mad.  Last time I tried to sew I didn't have the settings right and the machine just keep eating my thread.  I only spent a few moments trying to adjust things to get it to work, but I didn't have much patients with it.  I would take you up on hand sewing, but this is one job machine sewing is a must.  There is just too much work and I want it to look nicer as well   I don't remember the type of wool sorry.  The leather pieces will probably be hand sewn after I punch holes in it.

As for the stuff I want to go over, its all machine work.  I remember some stuff but the type stitching for different parts of the clothing I don't remember.  Also I don't know much about the type of needles and thread for the different materials I'm using.  Stuff like that.  It is all simple stuff, but I hate looking information up when it deals with such a hands on project.  I like having someone Knowledgeable around to guide me.  Oh ya, and I don't know much about the tricks of costuming.  I don't think I would any shortcuts on this, but I wouldn't mind knowing more about making things more simply.
