There will probably be other people from out of town looking for roommates too.  As the con draw nearer and more people gather to reserve their rooms and the like, you'll see more requests for roommates pop through the boards.

Sorry to do this, I just thought that maybe if this where closer to the top, the other person who lives in Florence would see it.

I originally joined because I know of NOBODY else in Florence that watches anime, so I was hoping to meet the poster of this.

All is forgiven.  However, this person has a certain amount of investment in getting a room, so you can be pretty sure s/he will check back again if s/he really wants to go.

A question I have been asking myself for about a week now.

Apparently our art show director has been looking for a roommate. In an email forwarded to the staff list, he said "I can't afford to stay the alone for BOTH nights.. and the forum went down before I received a reply from anyone."

I'll email him to see if he's the same person who posted here.

EDIT: Doh. "HE," not "her." The art show director is a he.

I have a reservation, but I also have two other guys, so as long as he doesn't mind the floor, and kicks in say $20 tp $30 a night, its not a big deal.

Okay.  By the way, if it IS the same guy, he already has a room reserved.  If you decide to share, you can put your heads together and decide what the best plan is (i.e. whether to cancel a room).

And now that I think about it, if it isn't the same person, I'm sure he'd still greatly appreciate it if you wanted to share a room, since he's on staff... I'll let you know when he responds (unless he posts here).

Well, the thing is that he has no roommates, meaning he can't afford it alone.  In that situation I'm sure he'd be happy to drop the reservation in order to join someone else.
