We only got gaming consoles last July 2009, so there is an abrupt shift to 'pre-console' eras:
#1: Blazing Angels (PS3)
I'm renting a number of other games, but I haven't found anything else that uses the PS3's SIXAXIS effect so smoothly.
Blazing Angels II is clunkier, Heroes Over Europe is even less "liberated from the joystick," and neither IL-2 Sturmnovik nor War Hawk have any SIXAXIS support. (Flying in those games is 100% twin-joystick work, no tippy-twisty SIXAXIS fun.)
Any suggestions?
Meanwhile, continuing further back in time:

#6 Tempest (coin-op arcade - tried it on the PSP and it's just too damn small on that teeny screen...)
#8 Space War (coin-op arcade, two person )
#7 Battle Zone (coin-op arcade, two person )

#9: Empire 5.5 ( mainframe )
#10 Stuff I wrote myself in BASIC on my first Intel 8080 chip computer.
