You can get nori seaweed in most grocery stores too, you just end up paying a bit more than going to uwajimaya. I just started making sushi at home a few weeks ago. Made the rice in my rice cooker, seasoned it to sushi rice (rice wine vinager, etc..) rolled it out onto the nori and added smoked salmon and cucumber, then rolled it up. Was Yummy!! Served it up with some Edamame and chowed down! ^.^
Oops, and did I mention Plum Wine? I cannot live without plum wine.
