There is so much I have wanted to say about David Bowie.
But there are not enough words in the world, to describe his awesomeness.
So I'll sum it up to this...

David Bowie = BAMF!

His former guitar player lives in the Oregon City area, or at least used to before I moved down here.
Bowie is about as old as my dad!

His ex-wife lives in northern California, in a town that is accessible usually by train. THe Skunk train or something. It's on the coast near Fort Ord or something like that.

My dad took me to see Man Who Fell to Earth at the Cinema 21 when I was in my early teens. He wanted to see a sci-fi film with me. It was weird. But better than Mick Jagger's movies!

He can act. He got raves for his role in some WWII film. Something Mr. Christian. Never saw it.

He is a great actor.
Though, I'm not exactly sure if I know what movie you're talking about...
Granted, it did remind me of the movie 'Mr. Rice's Secret', which he was in.

So, a couple years ago, I got this movie for Christmas.
I was all; 'What the hell is this?'
My dad replies with; 'It's the Labyrinth.'
And I was like; 'And that is?'
And my mom replied; 'It has David Bowie in it.'
And I respond; 'I don't think I've seen it...'
And my dad was all; 'I'm sure you have.'

So, I watch it, and I'm all; 'OH MY GOD! IT'S THE MOVIE THAT GAVE ME NIGHTMARES AS A CHILD!!'

Seriously, the movie was great, even when I was younger.
But I feared Goblins would take me away, if my brothers wished it!
And the Wild Gang!*shudders*
Those things still scare the crap out of me! >.e

I do love that movie, though~ :3

The fire gang sorta scared me too back in the day. I was always worried about meeting new friends that'd be fun but then try and get me hurt. It was great subtext to keep kids out of gangs.

@Jaybug: Isn't that movie titled Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence? I've heard that it's a really depressing movie.

Even though Bowie is old enough to be most of ours grandfather, he's still very attractive. He's amazing in concert too~ Also, Gail Ann Dorsey. <3

Soo the other day i was listening to Space Oddity when all of a sudden I was all "I'ma be a spaceman named Major Tom" My mom looked at me and was all wtf face, I told her I was listening to David Bowie and she said "you DO know how old he is riiiiight?" I looked at her with serious face and said "He is the hottest 'white man' I have even seen. If I could I would marry him." she cracked up and asked "Secret David Bowie fangirl I take it?" I looked at her with devious face and said 'O you know it baby."
