* Drink tea with honey and lemon.
* Lot's of sleep.
*Gargle salt water. (That one made me feel sick, so I dun recommend it, but I hear it helps.)
* Nuuuu dairy!
* Talk as little as possible.
* Cough drops.
* Pain medsss.

i b profen as it reduces swelling and a sore throat is a swollen throat, my hubby had a sore throat and ricola was one of the only thing that helped, a broth based soup

I use sore throat spray and that helps take the sting away... and by that, I mean that it numbs your throat. But hey, it's always helped make things a lot more manageable.

Also, the gargling salt water thing.
I recommend both.

I think someone may still make horehound hard candy. Used to be able to get it at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlors.

gargle with green olive juice. Plenty of salt only tastes better then plain salt water.... to me anyways

it might as black olives are pretty salty, its more finding a salty liquid that you can stand to gargle. As plain salt water would make me want to puke!

OLD UKRAINIAN RECIPE HERE FROM MY HOMELAND

Take...
1 cup of milk
Tablespoon of honey
Tablespoon of butter

Stick it in the microwave for like a minute

Sip that **** slowly so you don't get BURNED.

If it's too salty put more honey in it.

Works magic, it coats your throat in lovely stuff to make it feel better.

And this is why I'm fat

Depending on how bad it is: Throat Coat.
It's a kind of tea where, if you're throat has reached the point where it's all scratched up and sore, this tea will help you.
Make a strong cup, gargle it a bit, then swallow.

You could make an infusion with sprigs of thyme. Oil of thyme is the active ingredient of Listerine. THymol i.e. thyme oil. That may help work on any infection, if that is what's wrong.

This has been a couple of days, did you go see the doctor, or are you all better now?

if you want to venture out to a store theres this tea called "trought coat" it works realy realy well if you gargle and swallow it

Neither, I'm just on pain and cold meds. x3
