hmm, a can might work if you were desperate, but it's not ideal. the metal is fairly stiff and thick, which might make it difficult to work with.

What kinda metal would you recommend I look for?

Hmmm. You said your ears are testy; does that mean you have an allergy to a certain metal?

Assuming you want something shiny and silver like the picture, silver alloys are common for jewelry, but silver tends to be what a lot of people are allergic to. That metal could also be polished steel... silver is a softer metal, which makes it easier to work with, but it will also lose its shape easier and it might be harder to find, as well as more expensive.

(I'm not familiar with the series, but I understand. I like having all the little details in my costumes too.)

No allergies here! My ears are a little small and are missing one of the ridge-things, so ear-related products rarely fit right. I want something that will actually stay on, and I can live without the shiny. Grey or silver-looking works for me.
