I will have to freshen up on my history for this as well so I can make more witty jokes. Also, Malaria, so help me if I find a good opportunity for it I will probably squeeze in some Mock the Week jokes. "Invade us again, eh? I'd like tae see ya try tae invade Aberdeen on a Friday night."

THE BEST KIND OF PARTY <3

I don't know if I've seen any fics of them, but then again I haven't really checked. But this shows how big the fandom has become, when you go to ff.net and you go to a character option they have characters on there for countries that aren't even in the series, like Scotland, Wales, Ireland, etc...
I did, however, find this though. Looks more like an Ireland to me, but whatevs. I also thought this was kind of cute, and it shows the tartan that was given to them in celebration of their independence.

Hashi: Yeah, I think it starts at midnight : x

^I'm so mad the link for the tartan is gone! I'm friends with the Norway in the picture though, so I can just ask where she got it and/or what it's called :x

Just got a response! Here's another site that has them listed along with other tartans given/inspired to Norway from Scotland http://www.tartan.no/
unfortunately the site she ordered it from is no longer available. Unfortunately tartans are pretty expensive (my kilt alone was almost 300 dollars, and usually just getting the fabric can easily be about 50 to 60 bucks depending on the quantity.)

EDIT: Here's a site where you can buy it like I mentioned, it's unfortunately a bit expensive.

I am willing to very carefully match it if you let me borrow one of your finished ones.
But I have to make it myself.
I know I am capable of making it myself.
Someone else making it for me is unacceptable.
THESE ARE THE FACTS.
I CAN AND WILL BE DIFFICULT FOREVER.
Done: Blue Spirit (A:tLA), Sollux Captor (HS)
will do: Yukio (AnE), Robin (YJ), genderbent Nilus (MAOH), Dave and Signless (Homestuck); other things I'm forgetting

Well, fine. We're getting three anyway, so if Rin ever gets his rank in-series, I can wear it.
OR I GUESS IF ANY THE OTHER CHARACTERS GET THEIRS, SINCE THEY SUCK MUCH LESS THAN RIN DOES

Also, Jaqua, I will have you note that regular reg opens Friday morning at 6 AM. I am totally dragging your ass up by 5 so we don't have to wait in line with you for like seven hours.
SAME GOES FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO HASN'T PRE-REGGED

Are You Smarter Than A Nation is at Sak.
I have to play. I have to. WHAT IF THERE'S CASH PRIZES?

Also, there's a props and accessories panel Friday.

Cosplay repair station open most of Saturday. I imagine we'll be making lots of visits.

WHICH WE SHOULD
It's a lot of fun with the right people. I feel like we're the right people. Therefore we should hit up some Speed Dating. And hey if it turns out it sucks we can always just leave.

Just saw the schedule, looks like I won't be attending much this year. Ha. But that's me at every con.
I laughed at the "How to Talk to Girls." Yes, tell me your secret, I am so awkward with them!

I honestly don't understand the whole speed dating thing, I know a few of my friends who have done it but the concept has never been explained to me, is it similar to the anime dating games where they ask a bunch of questions to selected contestants or...?

I need to stop spamming this thread OTL.

I've never actually been to a speed dating panel, but I understand that what happens is you talk to a person for a set amount of time, learn basic things about each other, talk about suggested topics, get to know each other a little bit, and then you move on to a new person and do the same, repeat.

Does that sound right? I've always wanted to go because it seems like a cool way to meet people, but some of the people that go tend to be kinda creepy. :>

IT'S NOT SPAM WE LOVE YOU

Speed dating is where you have a couple minutes to talk to a random person, and then everyone gets up and switches in an orderly fashion, and you talk to a new person.

YES CHARLY YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT
Yeah, for the creepers, you just kinda give them disinterested face and one-word answers till the time's up.

Yeah, the creepers were the main reason for me not attempting to go in the past xD.

The only panels/events I know for sure I'll want to go to is Cosplay Chess to cheer my friend on and the Hetalia dating panel. I'll see if anything else strikes me interest but so far I'm feeling pretty 'meh.'

Just to check, it says in the ride part that you're arriving at Seattle on Friday at 8 pm? Do you mean Thursday? Because the Hanna shoot is Friday at 5 pm. Ha.

I have one picture of my Zombie cosplay thus far, very horrible quality and lighting, but honestly I just wanted people to be able to see the progress. I'm working on the white pieces for the hair, I need to adjust them a bit because they look like absolute crap right now. I also plan to style the side bangs more, possibly something similar to what I did to the bangs of my Scotland wig. Sometime this week I may do a trial run of make-up. Ah, and gloves, I need to get those.

Edit: Also, any critiques or ways you can think of to make this better would be very much appreciated.

amg you're beautiful
I'm sorry I'm not more helpful. ._. Maybe you could tuck in the blouse a little better?

Hannah and I were discussing maybe applying the base coat of paint on Thursday night? That way we save time Friday morning. ie aren't spending three-four hours on makeup weep.
I plan to do a test sometime in the next couple weeks to see how much of it comes off after sealing. Of course, if your skin is sensitive or finicky, I wouldn't ask you to do this. I'm doing it because my skin is generally pretty resilient, so I'm not worried.

That's a good plan. So where are you getting your sealant for the make-up? I know you've mentioned it to me but I'm just so forgetful.

Also, have you seen any of WakaLaka's vids on YouTube? She's made a few cool ones involving HiNaBN.

We use Kryalon brand sealant, which is an aerosol spray. The poor man's version if Aquanet, which the world's cheapest effective hairspray. If we do your makeup Thursday night, we'll definitely spray you down with the Kryalon stuff.

^It's ok, we can have something else. My body usually hates me for coffee anyway, so I guess I should be nice to it. It was just the first thing I could think of that would be opposite of England-since he drinks tea and all. I do want to see if I can squeeze in a boston harbor joke, especially since Auricle is going to be Rev!America.

Is it weird I'm already making a list of possible jokes I can use already? pfft

Okay, first exposure to the fandom monster that is Tumblr that doesn't make me go "what is wrong with your people when do you sleep"
People are writing/arting for the a DC AU with Tim as Catwoman's protege and it's delicious.

also my excuse for not sewing right now is that I hurt abominably. weep.

Auricle: That could work~

Yes we're making jokes now! Or at least I am. If you make some Boston tea party and taxation jokes it'll make my night. Or any jokes relating to the Revolutionary war, or that period in general. Or any about King George III, dude was as nutty as a fruit cake.
Ha! I really like that joke <3

Malaria: I agree, Hannah should squeeze that one in.

I actually really love tea too, more than coffee actually. I have Scottish Breakfast Blend I can make X'D. Seriously if I could have a tea harem I would.
I think I'll probably wait in line for this about an hour beforehand because I'm sure it's gonna be crazy. Guess I could attempt to get some studying done in line.

Also, I had to attend a trauma class at the hospital all day today and while one of the trauma nurses was giving a lecture I was thinking of jokes and writing them down. Oh me...

Cassi: I JUST REALIZED THAT YOU ARE ALSO GREAT FOR THIS GROUP SINCE YOU'LL BE SPAIN. So much hatred towards England!
