Yes but you should have seen them before...

In my view...Im improving greatly...as for hands....lol. The reason the basket ball players hands look bad is because hands just aren't straight like that. Plus you there doesn't have to be so much lines on each knuckle.

^ FULL PIC.

meh....I just gotta say that little dude looks like DEEDEE KONG.

I heard muscle talk. Since I draw superheroes, I actually feel for the shape of my own muscles and draw them. Circles for the shoulders, ovals for the biceps, upper and lower legs But not all strong characters have to have the largest arms in the world (unless you're drawing Hulk Hogan), they could have some muscle yet also be slim and lean, like they were built for speed.

A knowledge of anatomy and some practice in life drawing really helps.  We just picked up one at the Eugene Library book sale for a couple of bucks that would have cost us over $100 new.  My wife has one of those fully articulated Spiderman dolls that she poses for difficult positions.  It costs a lot less than one of those wooden articulated dolls they sell in art supply stores, and as any animator will tell you, a mirror is the best way to practice facial features.   ;D   >:(   :P   :-\   ;)   :-*

Lol I love using a mirror, I take pictures of my ugly mug when I do poses, or I make faces at the paper and draw how it feels.

I'm terrible at the male anatomy, they all still look like girls, save the one buff man that's the gym teacher.

Staring isn't cool yo.

If anything, get an anatomy book, even though I don't have one, it's good to have one.

What are those?

Like those body books? Do the viewing of the inside muscles help you draw?

Anatomy books = books with pictures detailing the human body.

@Kit: you have an interesting art style.

I have ArtRage which is similar but it doesn't work/plug in to anime studio pro like illustrator or draw does.

So Imposer12, are you going to attend my wife's panel on using vector in Adobe Illustrator at KumoriCon this year?  It's called Vector Me Anime and it is on Saturday.   ;D

Perhaps. I have taken classes for adobe illustrator via CCC-OR City But there is much more I would like to learn. First. I'd need to clean tons of disc space (old/primitive art pieces and software not regularlly used before continuing the anime-ish projects. An upgrade to the graphics card wouldn't hurt either.
