Wow, been a while huh?

Started cutting and sewing last Tuesday and ran into an obstacle: Anyone know a good way to keep fabric stiff? The back bow on my dress is supposed to be in the shape of her wings. Any ideas on what might work? I was thinking a stiff foam that I used for Mismagius' hat last year, but I thought I'd poke in and weigh other people's ideas to find something easier. C:

Starch it. Or stick lining it...I can't remember what its called but I used it in my jigglypuff hat for the ears.

Here's a simple tutorial starching but there's probably better ones out there.

CoaP is going pretty well but were hitting a few snags because Cassi has a lot of stuff to do. I don't blame her though. x D

AS AN UPDATE: I have a pretty good picture of Gloom in my mind. I was thinking a Long Sleeved-Turtle Neck dress. With Stockings and Flats. Sound good? c:
And I'm starting on the coconut.....looking things on it's head this morning. 8'D

I've used my real hair pretty often. :0 It always turns out how its supposed to but gets really gross because people line up to pet my hair. ; A ;
I'm not sure how I'd be able to get my hair to stick up like glooms. Not to great with that porton. >u>;

^you don't have to have it "stick up" persay. you can have it like fluffed up with some super spiking gell and spray as well. and it'll hold ^_^ so it looks more natural

and lol i had ppl pet my hair before too ;~; it was sukehwee! ;A;

^i would say natural , just cuz unnatural might be kinda weird? but i donno. it depends on how "outgoing" you are! lol so you might stand out more with the bright orangey hair. but hmz ._. i like the natural better, just cuz it makes the costume look more "real" (??) lol ^_^ but it's up to you! <3~

Hmmmmm....maybe instead I'll get a natural orange wig and have someone style that. I'm sure it'd move the Gloom process along more smoothly.
And for the coconut things, should I actually make them....or make part of the hair brown and put them in buns? Or would that look stupid? x D

I think I sha'll but what I'll do is, I'll buy brown extentions and to keep the ball shape, I'll stick those styrofoam balls in there and hairspray it a little so the hair stays in place. 8'D

@locust: it's the fact that so many ppl cosplay pokemon that you rarely see the undermined pokemon being cosplayed more than once at a time -_-" i even bought my costume from the 1st cosplayer that made that version of the only gijinka furret that has been found *cute* or w/e lol well the only i actually found. it cost meh $113 and it came with the giant plushie as well that she holds T_T so u can see why i was dissapointed lolol

but hey! if you have a different version of the costume that'd be awesome! and since you're bf is gonna be furret (right?) it'd be cute if maybe i could pose with him? if you're okay with it that is >~<
