Well for a spur of the moment thing, it's pretty cute looking.

On the cosplay update, all the petals have been cut out and two are completely done! The dress should be arriving anyday. I'm pretty excited. C:

I think resin will help keep that from breaking. It is pretty easy to find. You can get it at Michale's for about $12 and it is easy to use and works really well. There is two bottles in it and you mix equal parts of both liquids and I use a foam paint brush to spread it. Takes about one day to dry. All in all I love the stuff. It is in the glue section.

My skull hopefully has the last layer of resin on it. I also figured out how I am going to do the rest of the costume. Instead of wearing the ace bandage and risking a wardrobe malfunction I am going to use a slimmer I got a while ago.

I hope to have to skull done by tomorrow so I can take pictures then. Maybe Monday I can go to a photo shoot location I have in mind and get good pictures

Im going to the local arts and crafts store tomorrow with my mom to find some of the materials needed for my Skarmory cosplay.

10 days until the next pokemon meet up. Can I make it? Must. Complete. Costume.

I know.... Im not going to rush because that will make it turn out poorly.
But since this is also a cosplay meet up, I'd really like to have it done for this.

That mask is incredible! So many cool Cubone shots in this thread!

The petals are taking long then I expected, and I'm now making Togekiss wings for my friend. She changed from Jirachi to Togekiss this year. Her dress is in the mail and mine arrived on Saturday. <3

I can't go to the meet up, I'll be in southern Oregon at that time with family, so yeah. Hopefully next time I can make it, but I'm going on a crapload of family trips next month, so I might not be able to if there are any more before K-con.

Speaking of which, the arm armor part is now almost complete.

Can Velcro be found with a tape like backing? Just like a piece of tape, I was hoping I could just stick it onto the back/inside of the armor.

Woo I'm almost done with my Drifloon!

I think I need to make the "legs" longer and I'm waiting on my wig. Also gonna change the neck piece to a small gold heart on the choker, attach the X on the bottom with velcro and probably add another smaller X as a hair clip. It'll be much more recognizable when the wig is on e_e

Hey! I am probably going to go as Misty/Katsumi. But I have a question.
I have auburn hair and is it good for misty or does it have to be actually orange?
Because I have been looking on Cosplay.com and most of them are orange but some are brownish and auburn.

^ I've always felt that cosplay should be taking the character into the real world and trying to make them look as much realistic as possible. It really depends the character...I see Misty having more of the natural orange, like Ron Weasly. Having a picture of you hair would probably help, but I think it'll be fine ^^
