Actually! The male outfits for Clue are much easier.
Wait, hold on. Mind you, I was trying to say that it is easier to assemble
a female Clue costume. Meaning, an acceptable outfit that could pass for a Miss Scarlet, etc. Now, if you want to make THE Clue costumes from the movie, it would definitely be harder to do the women's costumes. I mean, just look at Mrs. White.
I guess we'll have to discuss this in more detail, because I wasn't thinking of imitating Christopher Lloyd's Professor Plum exactly. I just wanted to order a purple suit and carry around a pipe. Simply having a color-coded Clue group would be extremely recognizable, even if the details of the outfits aren't identical to the movie or one of the games.
My director in high school took the movie and turned it word for word into a play.
The women are harder to match up the costumes for for plays because of Miss Scarlet's revealing attire (and very religious families. -.-), Mrs. White's coat, and Yvette's maid outfit.
That's awesome. I've heard of that being done before near my area.
But didn't you say it was a musical?... Did your director write songs for it?
Oh, also, if you enjoyed Clue as a musical, keep a lookout for the play "Something's Afoot."
And sorry, I'm getting off-topic... Perhaps we should start a Clue Cosplay topic sometime.
