The photos linked above have made my entire month. Here is the Doctor Who programming I am presenting at Orycon. I would love if anyone from this thread could come in cosplay / crossplay. If you might consider it let me know asap, it might not be too late to add you as a panelist.
(6) Tiptoe Through the TARDIS!: A “Doctor Who” Fandom Celebration.
Live your “Doctor Who” & “Torchwood” fantasies here, celebrating the most delightful series & fandom across 51 centuries. Dress &/or act as your favorite Time Lord, Companion, Monster, or other impressive figure. “Upgrading is compulsory”, so recite lines, trade trivia, read Whovian fics, sing filks, show your fan-made videos. Bring relics worthy of Henry Van Statten’s underground bunker (but please, no Daleks, unless infused with human DNA). Show us your best flirting, a la Captain Jack Harkness. Debate which Doctor, Companion, or pairing reigns supreme among fans. Reminisce about Time Con. Improvise your own adventures, where you’d take the TARDIS & what would happen there. We’ll be waiting in our parallel world; nothing can “exterminate” this fandom!
Panelists: Ellen Klowden (Rem); Lindsey Robbins (Mouse); Karen Black; Robert Plamondon. Start Time: 6pm Fri. Running Time: 1 hour. Projector & Screen needed? YES! Rating: PG-13.
(7) Make a Sonic Screwdriver!
Where does The Doctor get such wonderful toys? We may not have access to his pockets, but we can make our own. Come design and create a light-up Sonic Screwdriver to take home with you. Hot glue and scissors will be used, so little Whovians should bring an adult companion.
Panelist: Lindsey Robbins (Mouse). Start Time: 7pm. Running Time: 1 hour. Projector? No. Rating: G.
