Just curious to see if anyone was planning on cosplaying Macross Frontier at this comming Kumoricon. I think I'll either be cosplaying Sheryl (black dress poster version) or Klan Klan (micronized). It would be great to have some sort of gathering and/or photoshoot at some point. :'3

I ordered my Ranka wig today. Yes, I decided to cosplay Ranka, as well. I'm almost positive I won't be bringing her to Kumoricon, though. It will most likely just be Sheryl~

Technically, Ranka is 5'1" and Sheryl is 5'6", but as long as Sheryl is taller and/or wearing heels, it shouldn't really matter.

The purple is glossy shiny but not crystal shiny. The other beads are clear and shiny-ish~

The purple is probably the MOST IMPORTANT part on the earing so you want that to stand out. Sheryl's earrings always glimmer ALOT X333

Also some of the ways the wire is shaped isnt really accurate I would definitely take some pliers and work on thats part..

ugh its hard finding gems in the right size/shape maybe i could ask one of my jewelry obsessed friends for advice X3

The frame isn't a wire. I took apart an earring to get the frame, so I can't bend it into shape without having it look wonky.

oh ok I see hmmmm.... well I know they sell gold wire that you can bend and mold pretty well at certian places...

Hey Dana, if you want to shellack out like seven bucks for each piece Swarovski makes pendants in an absolutely beautiful purple that is simply perfect for Fold crystal. Their icicle pendants are too big for earrings, but they have slightly more misshapen ones that I used that look marvelous from the front and back and fit just fine into my earrings.

It figures I don't have any pictures of my earrings on hand.

edit: PFFFFFFFFFFT LOL NO WAY. I just went to the website of the store I bought the pendants from, and the pendant shape is ironically enough called a 'Galactic Pendant'~

Here you go! Harlequin Beads is right here in Eugene, so if you do order anything from them it would come in a day or two tops.

Their tanzanite is a really just perfect purple when you're holding the crystal itself, I'll have to get a picture for you when I get home.

I found these silver things in the right shape in a Joanns here in town, they were supposed to be parts of a necklace but I snapped off the rings that you would otherwise connect things to on the bottom of the shape and they looked pretty good.

The color really doesn't photograph well, and my camera for some reason doesn't want to focus on anything in the foreground anymore, but this is one of my earrings.

I'll find the other one eventually D:
