Stupid lines, edits, and dub-induced plot holes
« on: May 05, 2010, 11:19:07 pm »
I mean really, who hasn't run into these before?

Whether it's 4kids turning guns into showerheads, or Digimon characters talking about their non-existent families, or just the plain unbelievably ridiculous lines ("Go, before I throw you down on the ground and rape ya!"), they've all been a source of outrage, and, occasionally, a good laugh.

So, who else can add some to the list?

And remember, people die if they are killed.

I could never get over how 4kids would just sweep a character off to the side and simply say, "She's sick and won't come out," or, "Take her to the prison for a while," and the character is never mentioned again.  it makes very little sense and it's very difficult to have a character's death be a part of another character's development while not mentioning the character ever again.

Also, taken from "X," Hong Kong subbed.
"Oh no, you're hurt.  You're breeding."

Basically the ENTIRE Sailor Moon series. lol. They cut and edited that **** up so much in a desperate attempt to make it a series for all ages instead of older teens. They took the most well-known out anime lesbian couple and made them cousins. Made male characters female. Cut an entire season. It's really quite depressing. x3

They read Twilight.

(Seriously, that had to be the least likely reply she could have said to that comment.)

How about Tokyo Mew Mew?  Lets just change the name of the show and every character in it as well as the order of the episodes.  Umm... yeah.   ::)

Cardcaptor Sakura wasn't much better.   :P

How about the episode of Sonic X where they had Knuckles go into a bar.  They replaced the bar with a burger shop!   ???

They also had a few episodes where characters died in a space battle.  They just cut all of that out.  :o

The entire episode of Outlaw Star that never aired in the US.   >:(

Don't even get me started on One Piece.    :'(

Thank you so much for giving the correct title.  I disliked the US-version so much I can't even stand the US-title.

What about Butterfree? If this is about the idea that it died in the original, it didn't.

Let's not forget the tendency to announce a character every time he/she arrives on the scene. I can't even remember how many times I've seen this. (In fact, this should actually happen more often in Bleach, just so everyone can remember the character's names)

Anyways, this quote was brought to you Blood+.
