WHAT IS THE MOST BORING PART OF PUTTING TOGETHER A COSPLAY?

.......... to me, it's when I have to change the thread on the sewing machine. FFFFFF--

1: waiting for the fabric to be washed
2: cutting out the fabric
3: waiting for a wig to come in -_-

...not being able to buy fabric until school gets out. My uni is in the boonies and I can't drive.

I don't have any trouble changing bobbins or rethreading the machine. I have to do that so often in costume shop I'm really fast. (though it's a real pain if you have to wind bobbins by hand... the bobbin-winder on my sewing machine at home was broken for the longest time. I can't remember if it ever got fixed.)

Those tedious tasks. Since I sew everything by hand(unless it's something big I enlist some help). But like if I have to hem something or sew something together and it's just really long. OR WHEN I HAVE TO REDO SOMETHING. Then I'm like, SCREW THIS, Sam lend me your sewing machine please.

OH and painting things. It just...gets me after awhile. Depending on what and how I'm painting.

For me though, it's everything that doesnt involve the hot glue gun. I have ABSOLUTELY no skills in the sewing department.
And maybe....waiting pathetically while my friends sew for me. DX

I useually go for the shoes that improve my height though.
Because size 9 feet and being around 5'1"-5'2".....somethin' wrong with that. x D

OH reminded me of a boring issue of cosplay......dyeing the fabrics. Takes too long for me. >u<;

Shoes are a balance of trouble for me. Sometimes it's like nothing is going right, then others I find a way to a solution eventually. XD

I might need some help with some painty things for her and maybe one other costume. I have to make Synchro Luka, and I think she might have some designs she needs painted on or something. I'll try and make a template thing if there is. I'm too lazy to look at pic's right now. Lol

I don't think I could, even a 10 is kinda big on me, I know because I made the mistake of accepting a pair of size 10 purple high heels from a friend. The only way I can wear them is with socks ^^;

Fabric shopping is one of my favorite parts!

What I hate is cutting the fabric and pinning. I just want to start on the sewing so I can try it on!

Making about a bajillion yards of silver bias tape by hand. Because they don't make silver bias tape, and wouldn't you know it I'm doing something with floor length silver bias tape seams and CURSE YOU TRINITY BLOOD not really I love you T^T

1. Waiting for things to dry
2. Finding reference pictures. Then after you find them you start noticing minor details that differ and are not sure which way to go

3. Soldering all the lights

Plus it hurts if it splashes on you

I have to solder around 80 lights in a parallel circuit that's over 160 solder joints

Waiting for the glue to dry on props. Since I am in-charge of most of the props for my cosplaying group, I can stand waiting when it comes to paper mache', but glue? Must be dry as soon as I put it on. Grr.

Oh, yeah, and redoing weapons when you have to nearly rip them apart, without ripping them apart, stinks like non-showered cosplayers on the last day of con.

my boredom tend to border aggrivation.
Changing thread isn't to bad because I can do that quickly and I only have to do it once before continuing on...
Things I hate:
Large amounts of pinning, although sometimes it's a nice change of pace from sewing...particularly when attaching pattern pieces to fabric...WHY MUST THE MAKE THE FREAKIN THINGS OUT OF THE THINNEST TISSUE PAPER ON EARTH?!?!?!?!

ripping out bad stitchs. -_-

redoing something I've done already but had to undo and try again. particularly on stretch fabric. :6

I see all your seam ripping, and raise you... ripping seams from a serger.

Also, threading the serger. I will do anything I can to avoid changing thread colors on that thing.

trying out a new pattern only to find out its too short WITH the extra 3 inches you gave it so now your out 2 yards of lycra ($14) and had to use 2 yards of cotton you were going to use for something else ($8) **** you kwic sew pattern 2932!!!!!

Forget cutting the hand-made satin bias tape, pinning it is hell. A very fluffy, shiny, stringy hell. At least the end product will look bitchin', so I'm not complaining TOO loudly.
