Last year Nikki contacted me about putting them in the pocket guide. But, since they are not official events, they don't really belong in it (plus, they are usually changing up until con, and we need to print the schedule much earlier than that.) That is why we compromised - Nikki had the schedule finalized by a certain date, and I had the schedule available at Info Desk.
I have not been contacted about it this year... if the organizer wants to talk about a similar setup, email programming@kumoricon.org and we can chat
It is very doubtful that photoshoots will ever be part of the pocket schedule.. the con does not control them, they are unofficial meetups (and no offense, but I have enough of a headache just dealing with panels
). Having the schedule available at photobooth is the best we can offer.
And Ally was correct... you are going to need to take another look at some of your meetup places. Pioneer Square is not going to be a viable option, what with the events going on there. And guys, we don't mean to sound mean or anything, but
photoshoots in the Main Lobby of the hotel and on Plaza level will not be allowed. The hotel is requiring that the lobby be kept as clear as possible, and there is just too much going on up on the Plaza level. And, before you ask.. the Ballroom lobby will be off limits as well. Your best bet is going to be Director's Park, which is why we are looking at securing rights to the place.
