What's the deal with "Fary Tail?"

I haven't started watching it, but I've collected up to ep 33.

That's already a little long (to me) unless something very intense is going on.
Two shows that went beyond 26 eps that I enjoyed were Juuni Kokki and Monster.
I liked Rurouni Kenshin up through the Kyoto arc, then they added too much magic and it got away from the historical coolness that initially attracted me.

So - Fairy Tail - does anyone know if this going to wrap up in a reasonable number of eps, say 52 or less?
Or is it going to be a Bleach, One Piece, Conan, Dragonball thing?
Or some interminable, shonen fight of the week, filler-packed crudstorm?

Why can't you people give it a chance. According to this little girl at the book store it's good.  ( She freaking screamed when she saw it.)

Long anime's can be good. I mean look what Dragon Ball did.

Um, because I heard about it a bit late, and have stopped trying to pick up shows that already have a large number of episodes out and about. It's a real drag to try and get them. BUt then you go for batch, and it takes a week, if ever.

But did you do any reading of the manga, or Shounen Jump to have some idea of what is going on? I'm lousy about stories that are in the middle of things already.

Fairy Tail used to be one of my favorite mangas, but it did get more filler-like.

I stopped at around chapter 150.

I watched one episode. I don't need to watch any more. The animation was poor. I had a hard time keeping my mind on the fact that this IS NOT ONE PIECE.

well i like fairy tail but it is starting to get annoying i still read the manga and watch the anime :)

I started watching it. IT ROCKS. You guys have no appetite.

And the animations are the best ever. I like it. It's awesome. Yup.

This is another One Piece though. Just with Guilds instead of Pirate crews.

( The first episode doesn't reveal much, gosh. )
