Heyyy same situation here! Went for my first time last year with friend, wandered around awkwardly the whole time alone mostly. xD Thought I'd post because I might as well get to know a few people before I go too, hehe.

Prolly same character, but different outfit. I might re-use that same one if it still fits too. xD There are other cosplays I'd love to do, but dunno if I could pull them together quick enough.

I would recommend Hellsing the most if i had to pick. it is seriously one of the best i have come across, and i have come across quite a bunch of everything. espeically if you like action and horror.

lol, This is actually my first year going to a con with friends

Though cosplaying someone from a very commonly cosplayed series (Kurenai from Naruto)
made going to cons alone end up pretty cool ^_^ I'd always meet a ton of people who cosplayed my characters students or fellow teachers.
Though I suppose since your cosplaying something not so main stream this was a great idea!

Right now I'm debating whether I'll attend Kumoricon or not. I recently returned from my first con in Baltimore and I enjoyed it, though what really encouraged me to go there was that I already had a group that I was going with. I'd really prefer to have a group to go with for this one because going alone is no fun.
