Glomp circles are fairly different. They are A LOT more hectic. :/ And people tend to get hurt.
I was in one two years ago and I never got glomped but they would attack the Shino that was there. Girls were chasing him around the park as he ran for his life. And it was just over all insane and quite a few people got hurt. ^^;

So I've seen Reppy, Shay, and Fate in person at the last con (even though two out of the three of them probably don't remember me) but I don't know what the rest of you guys look like.
So when this comes down to the day as long as you're with one of them, I'll be able to gather you up if I see you in the square when we do this. Though Fate will probably be with me already since we're rooming together.
But unless you guys post a pic or are with Shay or Reppy, then you'll have to find me.

When I finish my Sasuko outfit (which is what I will be wearing on this day), I'll show you guys the picture so you know who to look for.
If the game lasts a while and I have to run off to a shoot, if Fate isn't with me I'll leave her in charge and if she is being dragged along with me, I'll leave Reppy in charge most likely.

Going back to the gloomp circle, it sounds like your group was too wild.  The ones I've been in were respectful of the rules, comfort zones, and even people who've had injuries (like my back).

Just because someone is 17 and another is 18, that 18 year old is still an adult and anything sexual is illegal. So while snogging may not be sexual, just be careful. A 17 year old CAN land an 18 year old in jail.
Those 16 and under, please keep the snogging down. I'm not saying you can't but...if you are under 16 you probably shouldn't be snogging a good number of us. I can tell you right now that Reppy and Fate aren't teenagers. So just know who's around you.


If you guys want, we can get like...stickers or something with our ages so we don't have any big pedo-moments because someone looks older than they actually are. Even if we have our colored badges, they still don't say our ages and some people [/starestarestare] get their parents to buy their badges so they have total access to all con areas. But preferably, only snog your badge color.

Yeah, when I was younger a lot of people thought I was older because of how I acted. Living a military life will do that to you. Plus I matured early so I had the looks down.

But how do you guys want to do this?
Should it be those "Hello my name is" stickers and we can put our names or screen names on them? And then in a corner jot down our ages?
We can also put on there in another corner the letter S or T. Which stands for Single or Taken. Cause hey, you never know just what might blossom and we don't want to cross boundaries if someone is dating another person (Especially if that other person is with us in the circle... Cat fight anyone?).

For 18 and up I think the snog limit should be about eight-ten years difference.
I don't know about the rest of you but that's the age limit I was taught by my parents. That I can marry anyone within ten years of my age. After that it's just kinda creepy and turns into fetish stuff normally. We don't need any "Young Wife Series" going on here. :/

We don't need names if you guys don't want to put them since we will have our con badges on but I would think if you want to be called something specific, then I would put it on there. So while your badge may have your name and forum ID, you might want to be called your character name or a nickname and you can write it on there. [/shrug]

But yeah, if you don't want names then you can just write your age on there. And you don't have to say if you are single or taken but it would be a good idea if you are actually taken so your other half doesn't get too angry at you.

It's an open event and anyone can come if they please.

In fact, events like these are perfect for meeting people.
My first con ever was three years ago and the only people I knew were from my old school except there was this one girl in the group who hated me because I 'stole' her part in a play. (Long story short she was a Junior who got beat out by a Freshman.) So I was pretty alone. I had even called my mom and said that cons weren't what I thought they were and I wanted to go back home. (I live in Washington so I was pretty upset I had driven around 4 hours to get to Portland only to be alone the whole time.) But she was busy so I walked outside and saw a glomp circle. I was watching people play and then another Matt (I was cosplaying Matt from Death Note) said they I should join in. I reluctantly did cause I'm not very outgoing when I don't feel welcome (which I didn't). But I ended up meeting a group of Death Note people. Now most of the people from that group hate me (People just love to hate me for some reason...~<3) but my best friend (FateChooseMe) came from meeting that group of people and joining the glomp circle.

But I think the glomp circle is a bit too violent. I felt terrible for the poor Shino that was there who kept getting attacked by everyone and chased around the park... So I figured this would be much less violent.

Plus, an event like this helped me in realizing that I was welcome at cons because everyone there is just like me and they accept me for who I am. I watched those people make fools of themselves and they still smiled and it made me feel like I belonged there. I want to help others feel the same way and so that friendships can flourish like mine did with Fate. Sure, I made about three enemies in the process but I'd rather have those three people hate me and have gained confidence in myself and a best friend than have left the con and never went to another one.



Oh dear...seems like I've done a little rant. ^^;
I tend to do that sometimes when I feel deeply about something.

TL;DR Everyone is welcome and you will make many friends with us! ^^

Just so everyone is aware, this game will be VARY awkward at the start.  There is no use hiding this fact.  You just have to run out there and spin, grab your target and give them a huge hug and get the weirdness out of yourself.  After you will feel so much better.  If you hug me just make sure its nice and long, and you are soft and snugly ^^  mmm fleshlings...
