Perhaps we could all meet up somewhere on con grounds first, kind of tell people what's going on, then migrate to a new spot together so nobody gets lost?

I'd still recommend going to the Director Park. It's going to be the place that staffers like me will be recommending for con goers, anyways.

perhaps what we should do is meet up on day zero for the Ramune drinking, then wander around the area together until we find someplace we like for spin the bottle on day 2. I know my way around town pretty well, and i'd be glad to show you some of the more desirable places we could do this

It was suggested by Princess Griff that we combine the picnic and the Spin the Bottle Event, which leads me to an idea: We have TWO Spin the Bottles! One combined with the picnic on Day 0, and the second at the previously planned time on Day 2.

I'd recommend the lobby of the secondary tower. Chances are, it'll be a lot less busy on either day.

I just want to point out that if you try to meet in the crowded lobby some people are bound to not find the group before they leave. If that happens, or people have something to do and come late, they will have no idea where to go. There will also be no more people showing up this way, so if you start with 8 showing up on time it is going to trickle down fairly fast. I encourage getting a place set up ahead of time.

I don't know why people keep saying it's so crowded. -.-
I have never been in there and been like, "D: So many people!!!"
It was always easy to navigate and there was never that many people in there. And I was always moving around last year...

But I wouldn't say the second floor because we couldn't wait there for too long.
They are probably going to 'close off' that section to keep it clear for registration and such. And I wouldn't want to leave any pre-meet people behind.
If anything, I would suggest an area of knowledge. Such as outside one of the doors of the Hilton (like, along the wall by the street or something) or under the stairwell.

I never made a list since it's not a closed event...
But I can probably go back through the pages and find people... [/shrug]

It's just like a glomp circle. They start out small and once people see what you are doing, they come to check it out and possibly join.
If it doesn't get off the ground it's not that big of a deal to me. ^^
I just thought it would be something fun to do where people don't get physically hurt.

Okay, apparently, the LEGO event is going to be in Pioneer Square Sep.3-5, and in Directors Park on the 6th. So theoretically, we COULD have Spin the Bottle there.

Whenever I went down into the Lower lobby last year, it was packed. So much so that I had to tell people to move out the isles so people could walk by (it was part of my job as a yojimbo.)

The executive tower was vary open most of the convention, however.

I still think that the executive tower would be a better idea. I mean, it's indoors(we're having enough trouble as it is finding a place to play spin the bottle and it would be a huge hassle if it started raining and we had to move EVERYONE some unknown place untill it stops raining), there arn't a lot of people, and if we had to sit down we wouldn't get our cosplays all dirty.
