oh wow thats bad, but i know what you mean. I've had to many dreams where I forgot my cosplays or even missed the con all togather doesn't make you feel good when you wake up

Closest thing I've ever come to last minuting something was finding the Jacket for my Frank West cosplay the weekend before con.

I've had to sit in the lobby and sew on day 0 before.

Hopefully this year latest I will be done is Wednesday, and that's mostly due to the drying time for this glue being 72 hours.

Ok so this is an honest question-

why does that happen? I know people who were sewing AN HOUR before a con began and I was simply shocked.

I mean is it accidental like something breaks? was it circumstances that kept you from finishing or simply laziness and last minuting it?

I mean cons are supposed to be fun and the stress that comes with truely last minuting something cannot be fun...

Procrastination mostly?

In 2006, my roommates started their cosplay so late they spend all of day 1 of the con sewing in our room. I couldn't BELIEVE it....
This year I didn't want to start close to the convention because I changed my eating habits, so in a year I lost weight rapidly, and I was freaked if I did my cosplay too early it wouldn't fit right by the time of the convention. And I didn't want to take my wig out and style it too early cause I didn't want it sitting out around my house and get wrecked.

So I think people start later for worries close to their things getting wrecked, either that or they are honestly procrastinators. xD

Two years ago, I was sewing in the car on the way to the con one morning. Its mostly procrastination and underestimating what you can do in the time you have.

Absolutely true. Four years ago, I finished my Kabuto vest at Anime Evolution between days, when I should have been sleeping - I'm never planning on doing that again.

I'm bouncing between being really excited and can't sleep; then being exhausted and over-worked during then day. Luckily I have far less to do on my costumes than I think I do.
