So I finally got FFXI... (help plz D: )

So it took my two days (no joke) to finally be able to get FFXI on my comp, and now it's saying that I can't play because it doesn't recognize my Hardrive tnl.
Now, I'm a video console geek, not a computer geek. So I have absolutely NO IDEA what a hardrive tnl is. Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it?

are you sure its hard drive tnl and not hardware tnl?

Oh...it might be that instead.
This happened yesterday, and I can't ever remember anything, so I'm guessing it's hardware tnl instead.

You most likely don't have a video card that supports TnL, like Nvidia or ATI. Also, make sure your computer's specs are compatible with the game and your video drivers are updated.

I think there are some programs to help you work around buying a new card. Here's something I found on google:

i've played ffxi both on the ps2 and pc and have never gotten that error.
anyways i have to agree with hazuza and that its a video card/chip problem

You might, and the drivers might just need updating, or it could be something totally different. I dunno, those are just my guesses.

Might be more helpful if you posted your hardware specs and what card you have, but I don't really know anything about that game, and little about computers too 8D; (I've just had enough problems with them to know a few things orz)

IT'S WONDERFUL. But I don't have internet on the comp it's on anymore. I should fix that soon....and I have no idea what server I'm on xD
