The package I just received...
It came from my true home, Alaska, where I lived for five years.
My best friend from there sent me a package which included pictures she took around the island, a beautiful box made on the island, and a class sweater from the high school I could not attend because I moved to the Lower 48 not long after graduating middle school.
We only had one middle school and one high school on the island except for St. Marie's Private school. Everyone knew each other and people certainly knew me.
My mother was a Radio DJ and I frequently went on air doing commercials or helping my mom with her talk show. It was my home and the place I was most accepted. I am so happy that even though I could not graduate with everyone, they still thought of me and sent me these gifts.
I can't stop crying because of how much I miss them and my home.
But, I am also happy about something that will happen two years in the future.
The one who sent me the package is going to transfer to PSU after getting her AA at a University in Alaska.
I plan to transfer there as well so we can go to school together again.
