So, I was thinking today about just how petite I actually am and here is what I gathered.

• My step-dad had to put a step bar onto the truck so I could get in without having to hoist myself up with some other part of the vehicle.
• I have to climb on counters to reach some things in the cabinets in the kitchen.
• I have to stand on a stool to reach the shelf in my closet.
• I was afraid to drive the F-150 4x4 my step-dad owns because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see anything or be able to reach the pedals.
• In certain chairs, my feet don't even reach the ground!

And then I realized, I'm not the only one who has these things happen to me!
I'm just one person in a world of short people just like me.
So I figured we could all band together and make one big cosplay group of Fun Sized adorableness!

We would simply have meet ups from time to time to do whatever.
Meet up at cons to run around and be adorable.
Maybe cosplay together a year or two to enhance our cuteness factor.


Now for the member requirements!

Yes, I have to stand on counters to open the cabinet above my fridge. A cabinet I normally don't use, but one day, Ms. Mischief, aka Kaylee Kitty, found her way into it & the door closed after her! It took me 10 minutes to find her. She was playing hide & seek!

Anyways. I am apparently due to bad posture (since I got a DEXA scan & it wasn't osteoporosis) down from five foot one & three-quarters' inches to five foot one and one-quarter inch. Oy vey!!

It amused me when people would wonder if I were planning on crossdressing because I would look for pants in the boy's section because I wasn't curvy enough downstairs for girl pants!

Where like, everyone who wants to will submit a story of how their size effected them in the month. (Whether it's over coming something or being used as a stool, as long as it's something that's adorable for shortness and makes people want to go, "awwwww.") I have a cousin who needs to duck when he goes through doors at our grandparent's house. I think he's 6'10" or so, and they have short doors but still. People don't believe we're related.

@Griff...You might wish to look at "101 Things You Didn't Know Could Hurt Your Pet", by the ASPCA. I was unhappily surprised to find out that several of my houseplants were things that could hurt my Ms. Mischief if she were to eat them. In particular, I had to put my rubber tree plant outside. There was a bite out of it that I didn't notice until after a week of tummy upset.....thank G-d it wasn't worse!

@ Chibi of the Month: There are times it is my height, & times it is my weight, that make me unable to do things. For example, in high school, I was in Key Club (Kiwanis club). I coordinated our Blood Drive. But I could not donate blood, because I was nowhere near 110 lbs (still am not). I keep trying to crack the triple-digits. I really do. I eat candy, cheese, ice cream (vegan & dairy), I guess my metabolism is too high?

On the long-ago plus side, when I would go to movies, as a teen, with my bigger friends, I was the one who could get kid fare on the bus & at the movies, because they'd see our size disparity & figure I was the kid-sis tag-along.

You should see Ms. Mischief when given access to her Turty. It's a teensy stuffed turtle--stuffed with catnip. She will stalk it, pounce on it, wrestle it, nuzzle it, throw it in the air & start all over again. It is a joy to behold.

So, I have a small story. It's not great but I had a good laugh about it.

It was during my mock interviews Junior year and I had chosen to be interviewed for an electricians job.
It was the final question of my mock interview:
Interviewer: So, there have been two boys in here before you for the same job. Why should I hire you over them?
Me: Well, as you can tell I'm pretty short. Which is perfect for this job! Most electronic work is done in small spaces or close to the floor. Because I'm short not only do I reach the ground easier than most boys, but I can fit into small holes better and get into a lot of places they can't.


When I got my paper back he marked that I was the only person he interviewed with a good answer to the last question. ^^

A couple things that I remember (one negative, one positive):

Neg: For some reason whenever I have to go up to the white board in Japanese, I have to write towards the top, and I can never reach it. My sentences usually arch down. ;-;  (An amusing thing about Japanese class is that our sensei and student sensei, new every year, are both short and have to have a tall kid pull down the screen. u.u)

Pos: Luckily, in all the years I've been at schools with lockers, I've always gotten a bottom one. :'D

funny story I am 5 4"/ or 5 3" depending on how you look at it my knees are double jointed and it makes me shorter that if I bend them, but its not comphy to hold my knees like that
