AMV Editors' Meetup - Friday 3-Sep-10, 7:30pm Hotel "Bistro 921"

Hello gang!

I reserved a back alcove room in the "Bistro 921" (the same place we met last year) starting 7:30pm, for AMV editors to meet and greet.
The kitchen runs till 9pm for menu orders, and I think they'll stay around to top off coffee, sodas or take bar orders till 10pm.

I'll bring a screen & projector & a modest sound system in case anyone wants to show stuff (future projects?) or comment on effects, techniques or content, etc.

I am super looking forward to this :) Hopefully this year I will be able to stay for the whole thing!

I will hopefully have my first Sakuracon submission ready by then if anybody would care to see it...

I'd like to see it. I might even have a little glimpse of what I have in store for Sakuracon.

Yay !!

Since it's become a kind of tradition to tip my hand at this event, (less than 24hrs before the contest) I may also just play the contest review clips and see which ones you guys can pick out ...

Unfortunately, this year's crop of judges ranked the entry cards by numbers rather than specific comments. They also ripped up entry cards as they made the cuts, so I don't have a written record of WHY something didn't get in. In a few previous years, other panels had written comments (which could at least be converted into constructive criticism - the 'how to get better' kind, not the 'this AMV was too long and boring' kind.)

And yes, *I* am working on something SILLY too.
