From the speed-dating panel.... we were all discussing our favorite comci book character...

Girl: "Aquaman is lame...
Guy: *serious face* "What did you just say?"
Girl: "I mean seriously.. he floats around the ocean how useless can you be?"
Guy: "Oh yeah... I mean He's the just THE F@#$%@# KING OF ATLANTIS!!!!! Totally useless..."
Girl: "Batman is the best comic book character"
Guy: "Batman.... BATMAN!? He's just Tony Stark without the B.A. beard... Besides we all know there can only be one top hero. THE GREEN LANTERN."

Seriously the facial expressions made the conversation hilarious. XD. I love chillin with new bros.

Mine was actually from 2 girls who were not con-goers.

Scene: On my way to my hotel room (the Paramount) there were 2 girls, a blond & a brunette, & about 20 or so years old. They had just parked & the blond was trying to put on the parking ticket thing from the parking meter on her car. She couldn't get it to work.

Brunette: I'm going on ahead. I'll meet you there. (walking away)
Blond: (calling to her friend) No Megan. Megan! Don't leave me here! Megan! Megan!! You'll be raped!!! MEGAN!!! (at this point "Megan" has already turned the corner of the building)

So, at the ball, there were two guys dancing together, an someone said "stare deeply into his eyes!" and another said "No, go another level deeper! Inception!" it was pretty funny.

The one that was funny was a guy in "Anime that scarred me for life" panel He was up on stage talking he saw a movie called suicide something he said something like
"It' didn't scare me seeing the 21 people run in front of the train and die or the guy jumping off the building but what really got me off was.." then the whole crowd began to cheer and clap really loud. the guy going on the mic(could barely hear him with all the clapping and cheering) "that not what i meant.."

Wait a minute. Someone entered a dating game dressed as a Sesame Street character? What, did they change the name "Snuffaluffagus" to "Snuggle Up with Us"? (seriously that's what I thought they said when I was a kid).

There was an odd Muppet theme around Creation Station this year. At one point, several of us spontaneously riffed on the old "Piiiiigs innnnn Spaaaaaace" opening. Later, *the* Plot Bunny of the Year in Scenes from a Hat-- so packed, we had to split it in half & run it twice!, Thanks, Sandi & Audrey!-- was:
"Kermit, the Jedi".

In my favorite-in-years SFAH response, a guy filked "The Rainbow Connection" with Star Wars jokes, Kermit as Luke, Yoda schooling him, but sung in a Kermit voice. Loved it so much I insisted he come back and sing it again at Bedtime Stories so FilkAeris could hear it.
