And I may wear it to Mew, if I have it done...

And my hat at least will probably be fleece...

Gosh, finally found time to log in and check this thread ^^; Haha, anyways here's my update on my gijinka for 2011. I'm going to be the Leader of the Squirtle Squad. w00t-w00t, first gen water starter ^~^ Oh and Jessica, can you add two of my lil' sis (( Mokie and Lil-Chan )) as Squirtle Squad Gijinka #2 and Squirtle Squad Gijinka #3 ? I finished knitting him his scarf for the costume and gave it to him today, and I think next weekend we're gonna finish his hat.

Okay. Instead of the Palkia and Dialga Misse and I wanted to do, we'll more then likely be doing Latias and Latios instead. We'll see~ Misse's drawing them out currently and we're shopping for fabrics and stuff on the first of December I think.

Yeah I am going to start making the costume tomorrow. Mine is going to be like a big sweatshirt. The fabric I got for it is so soft. I will get pictures up as soon as I have something to show.

Mightyena would be an awesome pokemon to cosplay as well.

Im thinking about the Mightyena cosplay I want to do, but just like last time, I lack skill on making this kind of stuff.
Im basing it off this one. Its simple, and yet very effective. Nothing about it strikes me as male or female. Its neutral. There are parts that are easy with this outfit. The pants and top are easy. Just find that at Goodwill. lol
But how would I make or where could I buy the fur like sleeves and lower leg part?

Also, how would I go about the ears and tail? I know at Kcon you can buy cat ears, but can I find a tail/ears that look like that anywhere?

they do actually sell fur tails at con, but they go FAST! so you have to buy them the moment they open the shops!

you can also buy them at hot topic too. they are starting to sell a lot more anime related things.

but if you don't want to spend money on something like that, go to a fabrics place like Joanne's. they sell fake fur and other material there. and you can get a bunch for less and you just sew it yourself. it's not that hard to make the boot covers that you are looking for. i'm also trying to make those (just for random wearing) they are very cozy!

For example; I need a BIG scarf for my Koffing Gijinka (Cosplay at the zoo) and a matching hat, I'm going to knit them. My friend Chasey might come over this weekend and teach me how, so I can make the scarf, and hope I can find a desent hat to match.

Really? Do the fur tails at Kcon look good? (I never noticed actually) Im hoping to get something that looks similar, or at least like a wolfs tail if nothing else. (and black of course) Also, what do they cost?
Same questions for the ears.

That still leaves me wondering on the sleeve part... Can I pay one of you guys to help?



If push comes to shove, I have a pair of gothic(y) boots. (dont ask why) Do you think those can work as a last resort for the lower leg/foot part?

As for the sleeves, well, no rush thats for sure.
Since I doubt I could get the rest of it in time for the Zoo light meet up, I wouldnt need it until after Xmas or whatever.

Doe, they sold the tails at Kcon last year 15 dollars the first 2 days-ish, and 20 dollars the last day when they were super scarce. my friend forogt to buy one till the last day and was really lucky to have found one. They have really nice fur at Fabric-depot, but it's like $30 a yard.
