well the arm warmers are done! they're just plain brown, i couldn't find any good brown lace.

Trying to get my dad to help me with the mantle. Instead he just pisses and moans about how it won't stand up, despite my repeated attempts to explain to him how I intend to get it to do so.

All I asked him to do was hold the fabric in place so I can wrap the wire!

So duskull is almost done, I have my makeup planned, my idea and some of the clothes I have a great Idea for, I just want to get a dress and not wear pants xD

Nyahaha is letting me pick up the wig on day O, so once I am finished with the dinner I'm going to straighten it and get it ready ♥

Which contest are you talking about? The actual Cosplay Contest? Thats usually later. Earlier the better on Saturday, as lots of people will want to line up/attend/participate in the actual cosplay contest and it seems like the line always starts hours earlier...

Yes, I think the schedule doesn't come out until just a few days before the con. Possibly a week... And then there are usually changes that need to be made. People will adjust their plans around the panels.

Just go with the flow and don't stress about missed oppurtunities.

I wish the con schedule would be announced first so people could plan photoshoot schedules around it, but I suppose that's true for all the shoots.

So I started on the mantle but it's very slow going. I have to hand-stitch everything and make it look metallic, which means that I have to hide all the stitching.

Ooh Grimsley!

So um...would anyone else be available to help me with Ghetsis? Because I don't know how to use a sewing machine and the friend who's helping me is really good at hand stiching but that will take forever on this outfit. And then there's the mantle which is just AAAAAAAAAAAA if I didn't hate him enough after actually playing BW then I sure hate him enough now!

Seriously man. Whoever thought SHOULDER ARMOR RESEMBLING CASTLE TURRETS was a solid character design choice...

Anyway I'm in Beaverton, right by the Quatama max station, and I can pay in stuff from my online store. Also I provide lunch.

and we're just doing a small fight scene and then walking off stage :3 so it's no biggy!

Bought my wig for my wingull costume today. Ugh, I am always worried that they won't come in time, even with EMS shipping. I'm going to go get some yellow converse and socks later this week... Trying to think of cute ways to incorporate a wingull plush into my costume... maybe pin them to my shoulders? What do you think!

So my plans changed a little. I was going to do Lugia then I wasn't but now I am again. And my friend is going to be my Ho-oh. My costume is just about done, all I have to do is make and attach the sleeves. Kitty's is already done, she wore it to Sakuracon.

Sooo, I'm not getting Lugia done this year (i was crazy thinking i would)

But- I'm thinking of making the costume so that it's able to tolerate being underwater (chlorinated of course) for some awesome underwater shots. I was wondering...what kind of fabric should I make it from if I do this? Another thing, would Chlorine change the color of a light gray wig?
