So, a bit in to day 1, I was dressed as Wesker, hanging out and getting pictures taken with some chill Umbrella bros up by the balcony.
At one point, a woman came up with her camera and took about 10 pictures of us, then handed us these ribbons and told us we were nominated for "best hall cosplay". Is this a legit thing? And if so, did that mean anything? Either way, I got a pretty ribbon and a compliment, so I'm happy

it was something or other at closing ceremonies,im not sure where to find the pics,i skipped closing ceremonies XD i got a ribbon and a button and i saw people taking many pics of others,so they have to be somewhere,if i find them ill link them here

Sorry for the late reply. Hi, I was one of the people taking pictures. The pictures that we took were for nominees for Hall Cosplay.
Hall Cosplay is basically to recognize people for the great costumes they bring to the con year after year, and the only thing you have to do to be nominated is show up and be at the con in your awesome cosplay. The ribbons are to say that you were nominated.
Again, very sorry for being so late on this. We tried to get winners to the rest of staff in order for there to be an announcement at Closing Ceremonies, however that did not happen.
We shall be starting a thread on the forums with pictures as soon as we can.

I got 1 as well. It was on the first day, I was dressed as Emporer Lelouch from Code Geass. I have to say it was deffinetly 1 of the best moments I've had at con. :]

They probably won't be up until after this weekend, since Slightly Anime is hastily getting ready for Akicon in Washington this weekend. But I'll remind them next week, when they actually have time to breath again!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry that Slightly Anime hasn't gotten the photos up from last year yet. I've been bugging my boyfriend about it, but he's just been too busy with work and other life things.

And to answer your question, they are planning on doing the Hall Cosplay again this year the last time I checked. So get into your best cosplays and smile for their camera!
