I was just politely informed that there is a WWII Memorial Mural between the two hotels, and as this fandom already doesn't have the most stellar reputation when it comes to simple etiquette, I'm formally requesting that no one takes photos at/around/or anywhere near the memorial. Such behavior is in poor taste, and neither your personal reputations, the Hetalia fandom, or even KumoriCon needs the bad press such behavior would bring.
In short, just use proper manners and show the memorial the respect such places deserve.

Basic Etiquette Refresher
- Rape is never funny, so refrain from making jokes about it
- Respect Other's Personal Space
- No one is required to do anything they do not feel comfortable doing. Ignore anyone who says otherwise
- Encourage other cosplayers! If you see someone shying off toward the edges, and can gently re-introduce them, please do so.

Re: Flags:
- Do Not Deface Them (As that is someone's national symbol and it will offend people of that nation/decent)
- Do Not Let Them Touch The Ground (Yes, some countries are more lenient. No, you are not there, so it does still apply)
- Please Do Not Use Them As Blankets (See above) Or Capes
- Huge Flags Are Not Necessary (If you feel that you need a flag to identify you, small ones work just as well, and are less likely to offend people)
- This image is still as relevant today as it was two years ago
- Just show the flag respect; dead nation, your nation, or otherwise, it's a basic courtesy to those who have/will/or once lived there[/size]

It scares me that I have a closet cosplay of America...I do too much steampunk. T_T I highly doubt those pieces will ever be used for America...but we'll see...for some reason my brain thought it might be a good idea to dust off my soccer kleets and use them for Futbol!Italy cosplay......I hate my brain most days...

I do have to commend all of you on your efforts, Hetalia this year was consistently some of the best cosplay I saw around con...and by playing mic stand in the Hetalia screening & Q&A. I can't say I'd personally ever get into the series...but damn I've been collecting militaria stuff for the past two years now for various steampunk stuff.

Also if anyone needs to know where to find that certain militaria item, like hat badges, pins, rank patches, etc, I'd be more than willing to help you track them down. Its a bit of a hobby, and I already know some good places online and around Portland. And if it can't be found, there is of course making it!

I had an awesome time at the Convention this year and I think I'll be doing the same character ( North. Italy) since it was a HUGE success. I didn't expect so much lovin while being italy it was great!!! I think this year I'll be better one since I won't be so *cough* fluffy*cough.

Later when I am able to upload my pic, I would love some help seeing what Hetalia character I best fit. Alot of people told me to stick to Italy since I was able to pull him off *........* but I'd like some other options. ( I was the Italy with a bunny on his back at the photoshoot. *sweatdrop* I can't believe no one told me I was being molested by Monoke bunny on stage!!)

My advice on sewing machines is to stalk our local Goodwill or other second hand store, or the Craig's List listings for your area. A friend of my mom's got a really expensive machine this summer for only $200 on Craig's List! There is always someone trying to get rid of one after upgrading.

Also, sewing parties at someone's house that has a sewing machine! My cosplay buddies and I are doing a few over the next year to get all our outfits done. It also helps with consistency if you're doing group cosplay.

As for mine, it's regular and Succession Austria, due to Miria bringing it up, and the fact we can go simple and embellish if we have time. :3

Ne, I know...Hetalia is just...well gods the fandom scares me...and some of the fans. Mellon, I didn't go to the screening as I don't watch the anime, but the people at the shoots, around the con, and at the PJ panel were pretty sane, and calm- At least, as sane and calm as congoers can be.
