D'aww I love Romano x3 <3. I'd be very happy if you did him. I was thinking of doing an Italian Renaissance and/or a Medici influenced(even though I'm pretty sure the Medici's were more involved with Northern Italy) Romano for next year. I love the guy!

I guess I could research the Kingdom of Naples and/or sicily and see how their style of clothing may have been different. etc, etc...

He's a very famous Turkish belly dancer, you can find some clips of him on YouTube if you want to explore this idea more and get ideas for some outfit designs. Although you could always do something that covers up your whole chest area (which they do make for men, though it's not as common and Özgen rarely does it except for the beginning of his performances.) We talked about him a bit in my Turkish class X'D

kinkyfriedchicken: No problem! If you were thinking about buying the outfit it's very hard to find male costumes. What I would do if you were planning on going that route is buy some belly dancer pants and then make your own top (or modify one that already exists) I've seen male belly dancers wear a vest-like top if that would make you feel more comfortable ;]. If I wasn't already full with cosplays, I'd attempt a female belly dancer Turkey. I did take belly dancing a while back, and I'm taking Turkish so I get pretty excited about the whole idea constantly 8D XD.
