Omg 8D I just remembered a few minutes ago that i have this costume police hat (I was wearing it when i was cosplay as America when i first went to the Y/Y picnic), so i took it and managed to get the little badge off of the front :'3 Now i have my hat (which btw looks almost exactly like that hat in the picture now xD All it needs is the little hawk/bird/thing).

A word of advice: please please please make sure to use a gold eagle if you want to avoid unfortunate implications as much as you can with that hat. As for finding that pin, eBay has a few gold eagle hat pins. You can probably find some Soviet surplus ones. Like Shi said, they're Soviet, but technically East Prussia is Russian territory and they were Soviets 20 years ago!

Of course ^^; I've heard countless stories (in RL and online) about Germany and Prussia cosplayers being accused of being things they wern't (I'm not going to get into that on this thread, but i think you can understand what i'm implying) and I don't want that to happen with me.

anyway I'm stoked about the 2011 k-con but also a bit peeved. You see, when I was looking at my pics I noticed that I CLEARLY had Ukraines Boing Boings. Them babies don't like being suffocated or corporating. -_-. So I have no idea of what to do . I want to do Austria and Italy but I can't if I have a squashed melon on my chest. Can you imagine?

Compression shirts work wonders~ I bought one recently, and it works for my unnatural bust, and doesn't mess with my breathing. (Which is significant, since I have weaker lungs) :3

Austria and Veneziano's coats do also do help hide chests after they've been compressed, too~

Zet: Dittoing Shi. Compression shirts are a godsend. Totally worth the investment if you plan to cosplay guys regularly.

Also, just as a sidenote, if someone actually gropes you at a con, drag them over to a Yojimbo and explain that they've been sexually harassing you. Seriously. That sort of behavior is totally inappropriate, and shouldn't be treated as a norm. Even if they were "just playing around" and look seriously contrite, they at least deserve to have it explained to them why sexual harassment is not okay, even at con.

I had to drag a Yojimbo into a situation like that, it was not fun. Better yet they said, "It looked like you wouldn't mind." You should never just go up and grope people at a con, that's not ok. You should ask permission for everything (though I personally wouldn't allow anyone to grope me even if they asked), unless you personally know the individual and know what you can and can't do.

From what I've heard/experienced, Underworks is great for larger busts. While T-Kingdom is said to work better on smaller ones.

IMO you could pick up the jacket, belt, and pants for waaay less at a surplus store (although if you want it superaccurate you'll have to modify the jacket a little). There's some Soviet surplus stores that sell the collar tabs, but you'd have to modify them to get the right pattern. You could just pick up the tie and gloves at WalMart or something. The cross would be the hardest, but it isn't impossible to find something that's work.

I know ^^; But i'd much rather just buy the cosplay. That way it'll fit perfectly, be exactly the right colors, i won't have to drive all over the place looking for uniform clothes that look close to exactly like Prussia's outfit. Also, the closest surplus store near my house is almost 30 minutes away, so it would save a lot of time and gas money to just buy the entire outfit online.

Saki: I just took a look at that Prussia, and saw they put a bowtie on their Gilbird. That's pretty sweet.
