Is currantly working on a new cosplay for izumecon! its a surprize but o.o in the end i am haveing to work out the kinks of selling stuff to get the costume but i have the boots done and got the wig

So my friend stopped by today so i could try on my raichu dress. All that needs to be done to it is the top needs to be taken in a tiny bit and the bottom needs to be hemmed. I also want to see if i can make a white half apron to add to it because raichu has a white belly and the dress is entirely orange.

Well, I had adventures in lace dying today. First I attempted to dye my polyester/nylon lace. Unfortunately the part I'd hoped would be the nylon was the poly and the part I'd hoped would be the poly was the nylon. T_T So sadly, this is what I ended up with, and I will not be using it for my cosplay:

On the bright side, I did the first dye batch of my applique, and they're a mix of rayon and cotton, so I could just use RIT dye:

Hopefully I'll be able to do the red batch and the blue batch Sunday or something~ I'm bleaching my sink right now, and I'll have to do it again after those. XD lol

I have new blue contacts ordered because my old ones were hell on my eyes and didn't look very good anyway.

Oh, and I've given up the mad hope that I'll have Lady Loki done for Kumo. It'll have to be for ECCC and Sak.

She's being replaced by Xion.

Everything's finished but the contacts getting in and the keyblade. I can't wait to get photos in front of the clock tower at Esther Short Park :D

I got the majority of my secret cosplay today. Tomorrow I am going to get the rest of the materials I need to finish it (at least I hope so, the pony tail clip is going to be hard to match to my wig but I will try.)

So got some more progress done last night. I was abandoned in the code lyoko cosplay this year. but I wanted to do yumi anyways. and I'm really excited because all the yumi cosplayers I've seen don't have fans. so Yay! for hours of work later.

Only issue I have is that I had to use blush and eyeshadow to color it because I don't have a color sprayer or whatever its called but I think it turned out awesome. I do have to clean up the brown a little tho.

I'm thinking about dropping Oswald this year and, mainly because of the girlfriend unit, might be going with Phoenix Wright instead.

To everyone who is 100% done...I'm jealous. Found my floor and I'm putting some of the finishing details on my cross punisher. I know I talk way too much about it. But it's starting to look so cool.

My Cosplay, and wigs are almost done. Just need to put white crosses on Wolfwoods sleeves. It's just these darn props that taking so long to complete.

Question: Do y'all think that PVC piping is the best option for a gun barrel at the end of my cross punisher? I was kicking around the idea of finding a toy gun at Fred Meyer and just taking the barrel off and using it. However, I bet the PVC piping is cheaper. What you think? Please give me some ideas...my brain is mush right now. Thanks!!

Kingdom Key progress since yesterday when I bought supplies. Most of this is yesterday's progress, I've only made the keychain and epoxied a few pieces so far today. When all the epoxy cures I'll give all the MDF board a coat or two of fiberglass resin and sand it all to a beautiful metallic finish. Still have to do the raised detail with apoxie sculpt. I'll probably keep the thing in two pieces until it's time to paint it.

I finished styling a wig today but I am a little unsure of it so far. I had to get a pony tail clip but I am having a hard time finding one that matches the wig. I am going to check a wig place tomorrow they were just closed today. It photographs just fine and you can't really tell there is a color difference but seeing it in person it is pretty obvious.

Here is a close up of the two parts, it is a little easier to see the difference

My Sailor Neptune costume was processed at a sorting facility in San Francisco last night. I'm thinking (and hoping) that I'll be getting it before the end of the week. (If that's true, maybe I'll wear it to the final Clark Manga & Anime Club meeting of the Summer...

Been working on sealing Barret's waist-guard all afternoon. Layer after layer of Mod Podge. Time consuming, but it'll be worth it though. Pdflo's AX videos and Anime Hunters episodes are getting me through it. Thanks, Contube playlist on Youtube, heh.

Also, the wife has been working feverishly on her Lia/D'Eon de Beaumont costume, and I have to say...it looks amazing. Cannot wait for her to unleash Le Chevalier D'Eon's French revolutionary apparel on Kumoricon. (Although I'm sure I'll be counting the number of people who recognize her costume on one hand.)

She's cosplaying Lia-possessed D'Eon (so basically Lia de Beaumont in D'Eon's clothing). She is so excited for this one, and loves the series so much, so I'm really hoping the costume is well-received.

I started Stocking yesterday and I'm actually almost done. It's a very simple costume luckily, I'll post pics tonight once I finish it.
I got the rest of my wig for Euphie. So alls that left for her is the sleeves, which I wanna do today or tomorrow.
C2 is still like 2% away from being finished. I just need to take some things in. xP
I need to make the leg bands for Panty and attach her hearts then she's done as well.
I did start something new though that I might wear to k-con. I got some fabrics for Rapunzel from Tangled. I'll post the progress of that later tonight too (=

Well seems I won't be Sebastian anymore (I hate it when my cosplay plans change so rapidly...) because one of my friends had a complete fit that I was going to be him and she was going to be him too, and I did not want to deal with the over-exaggerated drama crap especially since the con is so close (Though something to fight over like Cosplay is rather idiotic and stupid). I already have dealt with one person dropping out of my group going SO I don't need more stress............

ANYWAY, So this is what my line up will be. Sorta....:
Day 1: Axel or Riku (haven't decided)
Day 1 Rave: Raver Axel
Day 2: Axel or Riku (haven't decided)
Day 2 Dance: Marluxia in a ball gown (Yeah. I'm not gonna waste a full cosplay I worked on just because there isn't a ball this year)

All my cosplays are 100% done *victory dance*. So now, I have to focus on fixing my school schedule since my school is retarded.........

sis just go as Sebastian....you've worked so hard on that cosplay. You don't have to wear it on the same day. Do Riku one day, then sebastian the other day and your secret cosplay on day 3. You can also bring your Axel and do a change in my "dressing room"

I just spent like four hours hemming the bottommost skirt of my Diamond Crevasse dress by hand. I still have like a yard to go. Since it's a light-ish colored matte satin, machine topstitching would show really badly so I'm hemming the entire thing in by hand. There are still small pintucks where the catch stitches of the invisible hem I'm doing are which is really annoying but it's better than a giant line of thick stitches.

Also I fiberglassed parts of my Kingdom Key yesterday and when I'm done watching this episode of Ao no Exorcist I'm going to go do some more on it.
