Three resin gems for Raven done, three to go. I have one in the mold right now, it should be done by tomorrow.

I'm trying to decide if putting them in the freezer would make them set faster...

All resins that I am familiar with set slower at colder temperatures or may not set at all if it's too cold so I would advise against it.

I could not be happier with my new Black Widow wig, it's an awesome color, is super soft, and it was only $17! I was a little worried so I'm glad it turned out well. Last night I painted my nifty toy gun, when you pull the trigger it makes a cool sound, also it has a flashlight, haha.



Need to finish my bracelets and belt tonight. Also so much sewing...

I know room temp/warm, dry, flowing air makes glue and many other misc objects dry faster. Key word, flowing. If you could put them in front of like.. a fan or something I think would speed them up. Freezer/fridge eh because as with glue I think the moisture in the air also slows the process.

Idk? :'D And I don't know if you have a double sided mold or.. idk. ANYWAYS. THAT'S ONE IDEA. 8D can't think, still have to packkkk and I'm leaving tomorrow >:U)}

And thanks guys! I'm working on the gloves right now, W_Otaku. n.n I grabbed some cheap halloween opera gloves and I'm modding them. I don't trust my ability to make gloves from scratch.. ^^; They're white, but since I'm going to be taking photos I'm going to leave the complete fingers on them so my camera doesn't get body paint on it. >>

Nikki! I remember reading on, I believe it was your facebook and not here, that you weren't too excited about what the dress shows.
But to be completely honest, I think it looks fantastic. As soon as I saw these images, I was all giddy, just saying; 'Oh gosh! Oh gosh! Nikki looks soooooo much like B. Jenet! She's gonna be so awesome!'
And then I kind of flailed a bit. It's looking so good right now! I really can't wait to see your final product.

I think the dress looks good! The side next to your boob looks a little loose though. Don't know if that's just the pic or what.

My progress: WIG!!! I finished styling the wig today and made a few accessories. I'm going to do more pearl strands, so don't flip out at the lack of beading. XD Also found pink converse at Goodwill for $4 and painted them red for Paprika. Also found a dark pink/magenta belt that I'm painting white for Paprika as well. The belt needs another coat of white paint, but it looks pretty white in the pic.

Medusa's hoodie. IS DONE. FINALLY. Quickest cosplay I ever did make. And I am proud of it. I just need to cut out a stencil for the snake head and paint my make shift braclets. Contacts are a no go for this con but I'm okay with that.

Kazuma gloves almost finished! It's a minimal issue, but wondering how I'm going to attach the red part to the grey.. I'm so into accuracy, I'm kinda viewing my only solution as hot gluing the pads on while I'm actually wearing the gloves. 8D ouch!
..I'll find a better solution, for sure. Don't worry bout me..... xD

So.... after having my work time cut down by picking up an extra shift at work, and homework from going back to school, I decided that I'm going to push back my May Lee cosplay and just wear it to Akicon and Sakuracon.... there are just some small issues that are kind of bothering me, and I know I can do better. Also I was stressing about how to transport the belt on the train without it breaking in my suitcase, so now I don't have to worry about that anymore. XD

I've finally got the zipper for the front in and working on the black edging as well as getting the sleeves to look a little better by stuffing them with this padding **** I have from making a tree skirt back in high school. Then it's just the pants and bracelets left.

So now that K'Con is over it's time for me to really start work on my Twilight Sparkle gijinka for the MLP group at Akicon.... Got home today to find my wig waiting for me.... Got my colored extensions too for the streaks, but unfortunately the company didn't send me the right amount for the pink part, so I can't open the pack to take a picture. They look REALLY nice with the wig though.

Here's the base wig for it. I LOVE IT SO MUCH, UGHHH IT'S SO SOFT AND COMFORTABLE!!!! It's exactly the kind of muted/less abrasive purple I was going for. =]

I'm trying to ride the post-con depression by busting out some stuff for Sakuracon 2012, since at the moment my plans for Kumoricon 2012 are fairly elaborate (I reallyreallyreally wanna do The Dolorosa but aghjdsagkja,kl) and the sooner I can start on those the better. I did these a little while ago, but here are my Thorns of Oglogoth for Rose.



Picture quality isn't the greatest, but you get the idea. I ordered my wig for her today, and tomorrow after school (uuuurgh school) I'm going to stop by the mall and see if I can get a headband. I already have her shoes too, and this weekend I'll probably be going to the fabric store for pink and black fabric for her dress, and I mmmmaaaaayyyy go to Michael's to buy fabric paint. I also want to get new black lipstick, I have some now but it isn't very good. This one's going to come together really fast.

I've got the blue lipstick for Rogue, now all I need is...everything else. XD

I started working on my next cosplay (one I decided to do at con this year). I bought the leather looking leggins today. I have the white scarf and the yellow contacts. I plan on getting the boots, goggles, and wig soon. Then all that is left is to make the dress and possibly the prop. Anyone guess who it is?

I also need to make the prop (if I say what it is then its a dead give away) but I am going to wait on that till after akicon. I want to make it out of wood.

I BOUGHT A NEW SEWING MACHINE TODAY. Well, my parents bought it for me really, as a birthday present, but still. I'm super-excited, now I'll be able to sew more than a few inches without the thing fouling up. Also bought the pink and black fabric for Rose, so I can start sewing for her tonight once I teach myself to use the new machine. I'm going to Michael's to buy fabric paint for Squiddlethulu tomorrow.

My wig might take longer than I thought, since they're currently out of stock on the particular color I wanted, but other than that Rose is starting to come together. Then I've got until April to do Rogue, shouldn't be too hard. Though I would like to finish Sakuracon stuff a bit early so I can start on Kumoricon 2012 stuff, since my plans for next Kumoricon are a little ambitious.

Already working on my two cosplays for next Kumorion 2012. Buying my badge in November. I'll be Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist (99% done) and Rukia from Bleach (0% done). Buying her wig in December, clothing in May, her sword in June, Shoes in June and also white gloves for Ed. Edward's gloves were too *short* for my hands so I need some longer ones. But I'm glad Ed is mostley done and Rukia's sword will be my first prop ever! Kumoricon 2012 will be a blast!
