Still working slowly and steadily on fixing up Bridget. Sealing up the icons with some glue and water. Tomorrow I just have to add the male and female symbols on the cross in puffy paint and I'll gesso up the handcuff. When I get home I'll just have to sand it and spray paint it, fix up the shoes, and attach a rope to the Yo-yo and that's....it.

Since I can't really continue on stuff until it's done drying I also ripped up my Nino track jacket so I could make it. I kept the sleeves from my old jacket and cut out a new collar and the top blue parts of the jacket. Apparently I grabbed the wrong fabric though so I don't have any white sweatshirt fabric to cut out the bottom pieces. But the white that I did grab is a bunch of t-shirt material I didn't know I had that I could use for my Ramona Flowers volume 4 shirt so yay?

I'm hoping to get my Game Ramona at 100% before New Years Day (I'll be going to MEWcon for one day), so now I'm working on my purse. I just need to make new circles and attach them and add a lining if I feel like it. I'm REALLY hoping I get it done tonight. Then all I would have left is the hammer to work on for 3 days, which needs a lot of bondo, a lot of sanding, and a paint job.

I don't see how you could think anything else!  (Unless you're like me and have to worry about the hole I'm currently in...).  If I remember policy correctly, I won't be getting a raise until about 2 weeks before Kumoricon comes along.

IM HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THE BLUE FABRIC COLOR.


The pictures all are very dark and Pantys hair color is darker (due to lighting) and I was thinking of using a bright royal blue. Or should I go with the very dark navy blue? HELP ;u;

dark navy blue, that way it's a little closer to the actual thing. And the lighting isn't dark enough where a bright blue would look black.

My new Ramona purse is being extremely annoying. Unlike my last purse where I could fudge around a bit, the measurements on this one have to be EXACT. It's making me rage. Because I'm out of blue duck canvas and my first circle bit is 1/8th of an inch too small so I've got this extremely noticeable lump and no way to fix it. FFFFFFFFFFF- I'm going to shower to cool down.

Lolololol. I just remembered today that I don't have Kairi's belt/pouch thingie so I grabbed a box previously used to hold exquisite chocolates and covered in in black duct tape. It actually looks pretty good for a quick prop.    Now just for the belt part, some velcro, and a lavender ribbon~!

8D Where shall I begin, Well, First, I got my Harry wig in the mail.

It's really soft, and was seriously only $6.09 off of ebay. <3
Then I began my Trials with my Capricorn cosplay.


Then I got down to it and sewed in the black weft to the wig I'm using.
I still need to style it a bit more, but it's all definitely looking good!

Here is an idea of what my lilith looks like. I am not wearing the boots, I have no makeup on and not posing in any way shape or form. This is just to see what the costume looks like so far. I must say I hate this picture though x.x


I am going to make the feather part shorter and work on some poses and make sure the back of the top doesn't slide down like it is in this picture.

I think the only thing I'd point out is, if possible, see about getting a lighter shade of purple for the hair.  Other than that, it looks great!

Bought pants and shoes for the Doctor, and tomorrow I'm going to take a crack at starting his bloody insane coat. I can't find my seam tape, so allons-frickin-y and let's hope all turns out well. I'm also going to borrow my dad's pocketwatch just for MEW and then hope very hard that I can find my own before Sakuracon.

Did I mention I'm going to MEW, at least just for Sunday? Because I am. Hopefully. Possibly. If I can't finish my coat in time I'll just go plainclothes or wear a costume I've had finished for a while. Ukitake or something easy.

I think the only thing I'd point out is, if possible, see about getting a lighter shade of purple for the hair.  Other than that, it looks great!

I would like to to point out that I saw your cosplay at MEWcon, and I was wrong about the wig color; it was perfect!  (I think it may have been the lighting in my room + my screen is kinda gross right now; I need to wipe this thing down).

Okay now that MEW is over, I gotta get started on making stuff for Sakuracon.

First on the list: a Taobao group order to buy bags for K-ON and a Stocking wig if it isn't too much.
Then make Princess Bubblegum and buy the wig.
Oh and buy the wig for Mugi!

My Sakuracon stuff I need to do is:
Make a purple dress, and get purple body paint for Lumpy.

Make all of Mimiru and help Maddy with Sora.

Get a ribbon for Ritsu and get in on that bag order.

And maybe finish Morrigan and do Time Skip Yoko, depending on what my homies do.

Okay, that's fine. I'm not sure that I want to be the one in charge of the order since I'd be using my dad's paypal and I've never run a group order and I've never used a shopping service.

ANYWAYS.

I am stuck between two Taobao Stocking wigs. I know that both are reliable sellers, but I don't know which one to get.
This or this.
The first one is the one I was originally going to get since I know Fantasy Sheep is awesome. The only problem is that I don't think that the color looks right, the blue part is too bright.
That said, the second one is both cheaper and I've seen a pic of it worn, plus I'm told it fits big heads like mine. The problem with that wig, however, is that it looks too short. This is how long Stocking's hair is, and it drives me crazy when I see cosplayers with wigs too short. On the other hand, I'm only 5'2 so the wig might be longer on me.
What do you guys think? Right now I'm leaning towards the second, shorter one because I know it'll fit my head plus it's cheaper, and I want a review of Fantasy Sheep's wig before I buy it.
They're both under $20 so if I go crazy and decide that I need both, I could buy both of them and then sell the one I don't use.

I think I'd have to say the second one. The color looks really nice(the first one is to electric) and if it's a little short it shouldn't be to big of a problem, with your height I think it should work out just fine actually. :3

I like the second one as well, it not only looks thicker but the color looks more accurate. And, yanno, longer =/= better with wigs. Longer = snarls from hell.

Man I am so excited now! I'll also be buying my Mugi wig tomorrow and I have a Miku wig that arrived today along with a wavy black one.

I got my awesome super comfy and fun to wear dress for Kagura and my wig for Mimiru and Ennis while I was gone. I know people hate cosworx but maaan, this wig is so soft and I love the color. SAKURACON AND KUMORICON, GET HERE ALREADY.

Fleur, My friend has the second one and she loves it. It's very accurate in colours and looks very nice.
I would recommend going with that one, I know I am going to be buying that one at some point!

In other news my progress so far today is I took my poor, damaged to hell Cyperous wig and salvaged it from being horrible. The ends are completely and totally dead, but it's going to be cut up to about my shoulders for when I do Stella. Unfortunately I can't afford to get my second Stella wig until next year (not going to be doing the cosplay until '12) so I have to buy a new wig for B. Jenet and Nino.

So I went through Taobao and picked all my wigs out 8D

This is for Ramona Flowers (Volume 5). I plan on dying it a bit because I couldn't find a color I liked.

Cassandra from Soul Calibur II. Her hair goes from being golden blond in the game artwork to a really ugly ass dirty blond in the renders. I decided to go with a nicer looking darker blond for her that's somewhere between the game artwork and the renders.
Replacement Nino and Bonne Jenet wig until I can get a new Cyperous one next year

So today I finally got my hands on my two newest wigs! I got a long black curly wig and a curly Miku wig from wigfashion on ebay and I love them! They're probably the softest, nicest wigs I own right now. They're different brands of wigs even though I bought them from the same place, and the black one is a little bit smaller than the Miku one, which is fine because it's so long that the back hides my hair anyways.

The Miku one:

Hnnng I love it so much 8D The clips are a bit heavy, but they go to my waist so it's understandable.

The black one:

I originally got this for a Bellatrix costume but it arrived the day after I needed it haha. I'm planning on using it for fashion and lolita purposes, but I might also use it in a makeover Tsukimi costume. The bangs are really awkward so I need to figure out how to style it properly, I think I'll need to trim the bangs.
