Misty Progress!!

I know my pants look unzipped, but they aren't. I need to iron it flat cause the flap thingie has a crease in it. :/
And the short legs are the same length. I just have one leg bent so it looks longer on one side. ^^;

P.S. Inside the poke`ball is my Horsea figure. :'D

The misty looks great so far.

I finished my taokaka mask finally. I think it looks pretty good. I may remake it a little later. I need to see what it looks like with the hood up.

Just ordered material to make my cravat pin. A 10mm Brilliant cut Swarovski crystal in orange topaz, earring posts and backs, and I need to find my Apoxie Sculpt and the gold Rub'n'Buff.

<.< i bought more fabric to a cosplay i wont were to a con for a while xD what is wrong with me and my need to have over 2 football fields worth of fabric.....

also did a new test run on my taokaka: needs new face/mask, velcro, and reatach the "pulltab" AGAIN!

Shirt, hat, pants, shoes, socks, bag, Sandman and hand bandages are all a go for my BLU Scout cosplay (which I'm getting ready for Halloween), and today, my dog tags came in the mail from eBay. I kind of love them an unreasonable amount. I got "BLU Scout" printed on one and "Grass grows, sun shines, and brotha, I hurt people" printed on the other. It's the weird details that make me happy. <3

So that means I'm one headset and one belt away from having this thing ready! Eff yess!

I hate buttonholes and have to put three more in my waistcoat and put the buckle on the back so it'll be done.

I dun wanna. I hate buttonholes. But I'mma do it tomorrow when I get done with class so I can spend the rest of the day cutting out pattern pieces and fabric bits for my frock coat. That will not be fun, because I will be cutting velvet and satin and those are both horrid fabrics to keep still on a flat surface.

Waiting for my tights and gloves to arrive for my Butterfree cosplay (they should be here any day) so that I can start re-painting my goggles the same color of teal.

Also, does anyone know the name of that red plastic stuff that people normally use to make Kamina glasses? I totally blanked on the name and I need to get some to replace the green lenses on my goggles.

And I finished painting and polishing my Makomo shoes yesterday, touched up my Kumatora boots, repainted my pendent for Kumatora, and touched up 1/3rd of the wig. I still have a lot of stuff today but today I'm hoping to get done...

Cut my wig for the Doctor today when I got back from class, but it needs work yet so no pictures. Need to thin it a bit, at the moment it looks less like the 8th Doctor's hair and more like River Song's. I at least got the bangs to somewhat resemble what I needed them to. That was a fight and a half because DAYUM if this wig doesn't have the thickest bangs of any wig I've ever encountered.

Ha ha, so Kitty and I are adding another cosplay to our lists. >u>

We kind of really love How to Train your Dragon now. So we're going to be Ruffnut and Tuffnut. Not sure if we're gonna wear them for a con but we're(mostly I) am making them for us to wear to Scan fair this year. I've always wanted to dress up every year and now I have the chance. And what better way as than a Viking? =D

I'm going through my fabric tote right now looking to see if I have anything we could use for it. WE ARE SO EXCITE. Than after Halloween I'm gonna go look for cheap viking things(like helmets and weapons).

Aaaand everything else is at a standstill for now. Until I finish Akaito for Kitty. @_@ So. Close.

Currently waiting to buy a lot of things. Waiting to get home for access to a sewing machine before I can make anything substantial.

Training my bangs to fold over like yong-soo's in the event that I end up unable to stand long hair for the first time in four years and getting a haircut, despite planning to buy a wig as I was advised.

Right now I look more like China than anyone else. OTL

Just bought the following dress for my Butterfree cosplay, and should be receiving it by Wednesday. I'm a little nervous since it's a style I've never really tried before, but the sleeves and color are pretty spot on to what I was wanting. Also a bit worried because even though it was under dresses it's actual tunic length and am worried about it ending up being way to short to wear with my tights. =/

Either way, even if it doesn't end up working for this costume, if it's cute I'll just keep it anywho. =]

As soon as this damn paint dries... my Scout headset is officially done.

Wound up making it completely from scratch out of a styrofoam ball (which I carved down to the right shape), a bunch of copper wire, loads of black electrical tape, and some paint. Oh, and some black felt.

It looks AMAZING though.

Taokaka is now done. I am quite happy with the way it looks. The shoes look pretty good but it my feet start to hurt I have a backup pair that don't have heels that I am going to wear. Sometime you just have to sacrifice accuracy for comfort.

I kinda wish I had my camera on me, because I just finished my cravat pin. It's so pretty and sparkly * 3*~

I'll wait until I've got my cravat done and then take a picture with the whole thing put together. I got fabric and RIT dye yesterday so hopefully I can combine colors for a good end result. Gonna finally get around to cutting my velvet Tuesday. Hopefully.

Haven't made progress on Pikachu yet cause of homework but I just found out I am making an Ash jacket for AkiCon. |D
I quickly dug out some fabric and as soon as Pikachu is done, I get to start work on Ash. (It's like there is a Poke`fest going on in my room! I have Pikachus everywhere for references, my Misty outfit set up in random places where I was working on the different parts, and now I have Ash fabric laying on an ironing board in front of my closet.)

I also want to take pics of my Misty shoes and show you guys. |D I am pretty proud of my work.

Welll, I'm going off of what my GF recommended, but since the con is still so far away, I'm planning on looking at various shops, as well. (That way, I could also ask questions). I may also talk to one of my sisters or college buddies and seeing if I could just borrow a dress from one of them. I'll still have to figure out what to do for the bathing suit part...

Decided to seize the break from rain and spray paint my wings for Butterfree so they are actually a whiteish color now. Also been taking breaks from playing Fable every once and awhile to paint more coats on my goggles, they're so close to being done! Should also be getting my Butterfree top sometime today, I'll probably post a pic tonight....

Today is a day of progress!!!!
