So I started taking apart my sleeves from my jacket today, because my aunt who came down for Thanksgiving said it would be a good idea, and less trouble. I've got half of the first sleeve off, and I'm beginning to doubt my aunt, so I'm hoping right now that I don't eff up this jacket for Nightmare. *crosses fingers*

The jacket is a blazer I got from Goodwill, and had to cut a small section of the arm off and then sew it back together. You can't see it in this picture, but I am being stabbed by an army of pins in my left arm.

Necklace for Toni is almost done. Just have to paint the pendant...

And hair! I just bought the base wig. I'm gonna have to get the extensions at our local wig shop as soon as it comes, and then figure out how I'm going to do the ponytail. Also, looking for short wefts to do the "mohawk" part.

Please excuse this horrible picture, I ws checking out how the wig'll look against my bare shoulders and making a bad attempt at looking foreboding or something, haha. So I'm finally practically done dying my Morrigan wig, man do I want to light this thing on fire, I still need to cut it too. Tonight I'm going to mess with some wire crap and see if I can make the frame for her wings.

ALSO, do you guys think it'd be a great crime if I made it a bit more conservative and sacrificed some accuracy? I mostly intend on covering the cleavage area a bit more than it is in the game and maybe raising the back of the bodice a bit.

Not really, I wussed out of doing Yoko last year because I was feeling self concious and I'm only doing this chick so that I can cosplay the same series with Maddy.

I only have to iron my great big long sash and then hand-sew the end shut and the main body of Senna will be done. I positively love the feel of this crepe silk, it's just like my mum's antique kimono and it's so perfect :D I've always wanted to cosplay her * 3*~~ Memories of Nobody is my favorite Bleach movie besides Fade to Black.

Still have to order a pair of orange contacts and some wefts in Black Cherry to do her ponytail, and after that I've just got to finish her zanpakuto. Those are all generally rather easy steps.

You and me both so far her Mirokumaru is coming along spectacularly and I can't wait to get her completely finished. Gonna use her in Cosplay Chess for Sakuracon if they let me! If they think Senna's too obscure I'll see about using the Doctor, but I've put together probably the most unrecognizable version of him so he's probably right out too.

:< they want me to use Vaclav in Cosplay Chess. I have no way of attacking with him, I'm definitely not getting on a mat with that great big spangly thing on and I don't want people with weapons within five feet of me in that outfit. Blunt objects and human beings scare me, especially in conjunction.

I spent all day working on cosplay stuff and I got a lot done. My costumes for Mewcon are almost all done :3

I got my pay check, bought a wig, bought some glasses, bought some christmas presents, and am almost done with prep for for cosplays that aren't so much sewing based.
XD mew looks a bit more accessible now. It's nice.

Sooo hopefully my school Kairi will get here before Mew and I'm going to commission either Panty or Stocking in their angel form and my Alice(in the Country of Hearts) cosplay after Christmas. After Alice I shall commission Maido Minori and after that I shall start saving up for Klan Klang, Lilith,  and Eruka Frog. Hopefully Shay will do my Rin at some point but I'm not totally worried about that.

So what I've got for Mewcon so far is Yui in her LAZY outfit, Kairi in her pink outfit, Maido someone, and Kairi in her school outfit. Things are looking good!

I'd still like to recommend going with the teacher version of Yoko.  I've seen way too many bikini Yokos, and the one teacher Yoko that I recognized at a con looked more like a red-headed Princess Peach.  Teacher version for the win!

Not quite yet but it is foam piping then pvp piping in the middle. You can use a hair dryer to head up the pvc and bend it to the shape you want. After that I glued craft foam to it and put latex over it. I think they look pretty good so far I will take a picture as soon as possible.

Haven't really been doing a whole lot of anything cosplay wise lately so I have a lot of stuff that needs to get done before Sakura-con. Ughhhh. Need to experiment with orange paint/dye to get the right shade I want for my twi'lek. Boba Fett is kinda stalled until I've got the money to have a new vest made, fffff

The way I see this is make the costume to where you are comfortable wearing it. Sacrificing a bit of accuracy so as to make yourself comfortable while wearing something is definitely understandable.
