Yeah, I am thinking of tacking them on so I can cut the strings to get them off if I need to.

I've heard that youknowit.com is good for contacts, and I think I've seen cat ones there. But I personally have never ordered from them. I really want to, but I want to look at reviews before I do. They are are a good price though!

Don't order the cat eyes from youknowit if you want decent ones. To get good ones, they are going to be spendy. Good Cat Eye contacts are weighted so the pupil doesn't spin around, they will not stay put if they aren't.

I ordered a pair from them and though they said they were weighted, they were not.

Their other contacts are good though.

I have heard good things about coastal contacts and found some lenses you might like, but the selection is pretty limited, though priced better than other places I've seen. (I think they even offer prescription with that price, but not totally sure.)

I have a few more for variety on my facebook.

The skirt is sewn but I need to cut out the sides and add the ribbon mesh design.
I also need to add the tail to the skirt ~~and the ears to the wig.~~
I need to cut out ~~a small circle for my forehead and~~ two bigger ones for my legs. (The mesh on the skirt will be so you can see through to the circles on my legs.)

I might add a circle to the hood for when it covers my forehead but iunno yet.

EDIT: MORE PROGRESS

I cut my Miku wig's bangs!

This was the first time I ever cut wig hair, I was so nervous haha. I'm planning on using this wig for World is Mine and Lots of Laugh, and then I want to do Rolling Girl but the wig is curly so that's not going to work.

Also my Mugi wig is on the way~~

Found a wig and coat for my secret costume for Sakuracon.

I've run into slight difficulties on the front of my wig for Senna, but it's nothing gratuitous amounts of Stargate Atlantis and some creative thinking can't fix I'll bet.

:I Like all other Doctor Who costumes (barring a few, like the technicolor clown coat) it's pretty much closet cosplay with a wig and props.

Not really mind blowing progress, but today was the first time since Akicon that I actually tried anything on that was cosplay related so that's a start. I posted in the wig help thread a couple days ago about what to do for Jacqueline from Arakawa's hair, and realized while at work today that I actually have a fairly thick long blonde wig that could probably be fashioned into a decent bun....

So of course when I got home half an hour ago I dug the wig out of the bag it's been living in for the past year and threw it into the grubbiest bun ever. Ignore how poorly done it is since I literally threw it up in a minute or so, but I think with the proper styling it could actually work. =]

Oh the bun isn't going to look anything like that when I actually do it, that was just to see if there was even enough hair for that to be an option.... when I actually style it it's going to be a high and tight bun.

Ramona Flowers' hammer from Scott Pilgrim.

I kinda had a lot of **** ups and took a lot of creative liberties so the hammer isn't really accurate to anything in particular. I liked the largeness of the game hammer and I liked the squareness of it in the comic so I kind of mixed those two things. I'm going to have a pile of Ramona costumes and I don't want to have to make two hammers. The handle slips in and out so it's replaceable.

This was the first time I used bondo so my first try applying it and sanding kinda blew. I'm going to be applying another like coat to cover up little holes and spots where my paper mache started to show and I'll be hand sanding it next.

It's a little heavier then most of the stuff I've made but it's not bad at all. Maybe like, 2-3 lbs? And you can get bondo at any car or hardwear store. I got mine at ACE hardwear for like $7.00 (It's not actually bondo though now that I remember. It's like a off brand "Car Filler") Also if you are going to use it I suggest buying or borrowing a power sander.

And that price isn't too bad. I got a sander for Christmas so thats good. And I read somewhere that you need an extra hardening liquid? Is that true? and is it easy to work with? sorry for bothering you with all these questions

Oh it's fine, hahaha.

The stuff I got was a two part mixture and it all came together for that money. I'd say that it was a little harder then other stuff I've worked with but not impossible. My try was EXTREMELY bumpy because I didn't understand how to use it.

It cures SUPER SUPER FAST, so you have to like, mix not too much but not too little and spread it on fast but even and such.

The only real progress I've made is I just bought 2 wigs and have been practicing my makeup skills, But that's about it.

I have most of the armor bits cut out and am in the progress of turning craft foam into beautiful armor. I have the eye patch almost done, just needs to be painted and I have started working on the helmet. I don't plan on getting the costume done in time for Sakuracon but I do plan on having it for Kumori, mainly because I want chain mail and I have to have a friend make the jacket for me ;_;

Ordered my Tsubaki wig, and I sewed the skirt. So now I need to sew the shirt together, sew that to the skirt, shop for a shirt I can butcher for her arm warmers, sew the belts, and style the wig. Should be feasible by Sakuracon.

My armor is drying right now and them most of it will be done. I am done with the paper mache for the helmet and right now there is varnish on the inside of it to make sure it stays together. I will probably get the paper clay on it tonight. I only have two pieces of armor left to do and three pieces of leather plating to do then most of the costume is done

Also I hope to get the swords today so I can work on those

Doublet for my cosplay is done. It looks pretty bad though, I had to work with a design/material someone else already used and I don't like the actual design on the doublet. Hopefully I can make it look better by September. Renaissance clothes are hard to make ;A;

@Sandro- Why don't you replace the fabric you are using with a different material that won't be as difficult to use? Or is this something you already had and are altering?
