So I just scored a pair of black suit slacks at Goodwill for $5 that fit me perfectly and are perfect for Shizuo.

They still have the tags for $65 on them.

Just need some buttons and you're ready to go! Looks great!

My plan this week is use a bunch of the fabric I have around to make stuff to sell, then do a mock up of the corset for DWC Miku, and I have a 25% off your entire purchase coupon for Joann's so I'm going to get my fabric and other materials for Miku either Friday or Sunday I think. I got all the lace I'm going to use in the mail on Friday, but Cheeptrims sent me the wrong item for one of my items and I'm waiting to hear back from them. XP Thank god it's spring break. And over the next term I plan to:
-Dye lace
-Sew lots and lots and lots and lots of ruffles
-Sew everything together for Miku except legs... (need to talk to a friend to get help with them)
With that all done, I can mostly just focus on Cubone over the summer... Especially because I'll be taking summer classes for my master's program. This summer is going to be freakishly busy until Aug 10.

I sewed the wrist cuffs for Gakuen Date so now that costume is done. The only thing really left to do is trim my hair a bit more and dye it but I wont be doing that till the week of con

Very nice, I am going to start working on my Igor costume here soon. But my outlined plan of attack is as follows.

-acquire a bald cap and white hair extensions, gonna sew them onto the cap and this will be my wig of sorts.
-make some molds to create the nose. prosthetics are fun to make

-get some pointy ear tips and white contacts.
-make the eyebrows
-will need to get a tailored suit, but waiting til end of summer to get measured, working on losing weight right now.
-buy some white gloves
-going to be making a tarot deck as well for my prop ^_^

that should pretty much be everything to cover the costume, but if anyone else can think of something i overlooked, please let me know ^_^

Signs are finished, but the speed sign is still tacky so I won't mess with it. Probably gonna mount them either this weekend or the next, depending on whether or not I go out of town with my mum.

Well, it's 8 days late. I sent a message to the sender, hoping that they'll have a reason for the delay. I theorize that it might be because I made a sizing correction, or possibly having something to do with the tsunami (though I doubt it).

I've got the main body of Shizuo's vest all cut out. Sewing will have to get involved pretty soon, as will some pattern editing and some fancy pocket-placing. I hate welt pockets, why does he have to have one?

I know! I won't be using it, I'll make it topical with no innards! Brilliant!

Found the perfect shoes to make the Faun hooves with today!! I also found nearly perfect flats for Kiki too! They are white instead of orangy red though, so I'll just get some paint and paint them tomorrow.

I really need to get my sleep. I don't have much left on the swords and in order to alter one slightly I need to paint the hilt black and make a new guard. The guard wont take long but that is the part that will take the longest. Its mainly just waiting for things to dry x.x

Finished the vest! My belt isn't long enough to really be seen below my vest, but any longer and it would just be really silly :I

The sleeves of my dress shirt seem a little big. I might take those in so I don't look like I just got kicked out of a Ren faire. Other than that, Shizuo's almost done. I need shoes and my sunglasses (and to do a little trimming on the wig) and he's finished. Just gotta finish the sign after that.

So now that school is done, tomorrow will be my first day really being able to work on my costumes..... I'm going to work on my wig for Jacqueline, which is a little intimidating since I've never really done any serious wig styling before.

I'm taking the wig pictured (originally planned for my Marie Mjolnie cosplay that I never followed through with) and styling it into the high bun shown in the picture below. So that means 'hot water straightening' a wig for the first time, stubbing, and taking the extra hair I'm cutting off and gluing it around a styrofoam core to make the bun. Hopefully it all works out! I've got a bunch of tutorials to go off of so I'm feeling pretty good about it! =]

Heartless: Just need the feet hands and antenae and to put the eyes on.

Went to Joann's today with my mom and got almost everything I'll need for Miku's dress! ^_^ I would take a picture of the giant pile of fabric, but my laptop is kind of dead at the moment (charger broke) and my bf's computer doesn't have an SD slot. :/ But I'm super excited!

I got it from an eBay dealer named haof2006. I have opened a case with eBay. They've told me that if I'm unable to settle things with the seller by April 1, then they'll take over or I'll get my money back. Meaning that this issue should be solved by the time I claim my pirate wife. I paid $92.90 for this thing, and that's not including the shipping costs!

I made lots of progress today!

Kiki's shoes are all painted

And I got Miku's hooves paper mache'd. Hopefully tomorrow I can get to Bi-mart to get bondo. Napa was out today :/

And I drew Luki's sword out onto the wood. Dad's going to help me cut it tomorrow as long as he can find the jigsaw. Its going to be 50" long. I really hope it won't be too heavy for me to carry =A=

Long car rides in and out of town during Spring Break = good time to sew! I got my belts for Tsubaki nearly done, figured out what I need to do to make her shirt work, fixed one of her fuzzy arm things that was falling apart, and tried to figure out how I'm going to style her wig. Yay, progress! Maybe I won't have to sew on the train ride up to Sakuracon after all.
